I second, third and forth this request. It would have been okay if you added an advanced search filter as a pop-up menu. It is NOT okay to foist the drop down - cover my mail menu.

I'm using Outlook 365 Windows desktop app, and the latest Office updates changed the search bar location to the top title-bar of the app. I agree with other users here: the person who decided to move it from the top of the right-hand messages list should be FIRED! I connect to my main computer from my laptop via Remote Desktop (RDP), and now the Search bar is HIDDEN underneath the RDP title bar! PLEASE PUT THE SEARCH BAR BACK WHERE IT BELONGS! -- THE MOST LOGICAL PLACE IS RIGHT WHERE IT ALWAYS USED TO BE: ABOVE THE RIGHT-HAND MESSAGES LISTING! SHEESH!!!

Move the search bar (or at least give the user an option to) back to its previous position

Please move the search bar back where it was or make an option. It has been there for 15 years, I am using it 100 times a day, I had no problem with it, and neither did anyone that I know.

MS - PLEASE MOVE SEARCH BAR BACK TO WHERE IT WAS.
I do not understand why these people need to make these changes when the users are clearly saying that they do not like it.
We are ok with the new indexing and functionalities, but the location of the bar should be where it was. PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. 99% of the users have showed frustration with this new UI change. Please change it back to where it was

Agreed with all the negative comments about the awful seach bar and its behaviour.
When clicking it, replace "suggested searches" (then, suggested by whom??) with the more useful "recent searches" (used by myself)
The "Current folder" text at the right of the bar should be replaced with "Advanced search" as that is its function in fact, to drop down the advanced search menu - of which the search folder is only an option.
The search bar on the title is one of the less succesful changes in the Office suite I have ever experienced. Let alone the ribbon.

put search bar back! It is less intuitive and slower to have it at the top

Please move the search bar and folder option back to where it was!

Having the search bar at the top is less useful - keep the search terms near the results

+1,000,000 to this. The search field should *never* be in the title bar of any app, it breaks too many UI conventions and is hidden during RDP and other app sessions that put UI elements at the top of the screen.

It needs to be removed from the Title bar. I work from home and use RDP to connect to my main desktop all day. I also quite frequently end up connecting to other workstations from my main desktop. The blue bar at the top of the RDP session covers much of the title bar, thus making it difficult to search. The title bar is a defined area of a window for title information and for moving the window it is in. It should not be taken up with other tools.

Even better, move it off the title bar completely. The title bar has a set of defined roles and behavior in both Windows and Mac OS which are broken by the inclusion of the search widget.

Hate the "new and improve" it does a million things that are useless, at least to me, but does a lousy job at searching emails and contacts.

You also no longer display the email account you have focus on - not helpful at all when you are managing 10 or more email accounts

Change the Outlook search bar back to what / where it was!! It's too cumbersome / time consuming to use now. I do not like the changes - there should be an option to change and not have it forced on users.
