Provide an option of check box to select default Contact list in Microsoft Outlook 2016 or provide an option to set the default contact list.
How do I make 1 of the three contacts under "My Contacts" the default or opening contacts
Bill Dominguez commented
Have clickable checkboxes available in Outlook (email, tasks, calendar, etc.).

Please finally implement a an option to define a default contact list that will be shown when clicking the "People" icon in the navigation bar, just like for calendars.
Or at least let Outlook memorize the last contact list selected.
It's annoying to always get to the wrong contact group after restart of the app.
Same issue with Notes and Tasks btw.

A check box beside each contacts folder to set the default Contacts list just like you did for the calendar folders.
This way, by clicking the People icon at the left panel would display always that default folder.
Provide an option to set a customized default view when a Contact is opened. Currently it automatically opens in General view, where it's not possible to see or add any user-customized contact fields. Allow the user to set a customized All Fields view as a default option when opening a contact.
Opportunity to save and retain OUTLOOK 2016 for all Contacts, Email, Calendars instead of Windows 10 People and Contacts, Calendar, Mail.
Multiple account links is frustrating for users looking for simplicity.

Please make some sort of shortcut so that the contacts address may be easier to locate and edit as needed.
