Bring back sorting for All/Unread/Mentions and Arrange By quick sorting by Date, Size, etc.
In the latest update the view change to consolidate to a singular "All" dropdown that allows you to choose between the former All, Unread, Mentions and then to easily Sort with Arrange By. For many users the expanded view is preferred and more easily accessible. If that could be made a view option, or a toggle feature I think that would be a functionality improvement
Note from the Outlook Team: We have posted a Known Issue about this change with some explanation and possible solutions, https://support.office.com/en-us/article/All-Mail-and-Unread-Mail-tab-options-no-longer-show-in-Outlook-ecdfda13-bdc1-42e2-a77b-c18f6f291fe1?ui=en-US&rs=en-US&ad=US.

Update from the Outlook team: We’ve brought back the All and Unread filters for the inbox folder, as well as made enhancements to the sorts and filters menu. As a note, Focused and Other pivots will take priority over All and Unread when opted in to Focused Inbox.
These changes should be available for all users with Version 1802 (Build 9001.2138) and above.
Cheers,
The Outlook Team

I do not like the latest version of Outlook client, it is not feasible to sort emails via right clicking on the blank field next to the title of a folder.

Please put it back! This new version is not nearly as quick and user friendly. Give the option to have it if we choose.

What a terrible change that adds no benefits and slows things down. Please change back asap.

this is a no-brainer. why add complexity and keystrokes? why lessen an individual's productivity. this is a very ill-advised change. outlook recently zero-for-two, this needless change and the *****-up with spell check

You can simply provide users a choice of turning the full sort features on or off. The 'Classic' view ;)

WHY?!?!? I use this function all the time, what possible advantage can there be in removing it? If something like this is considered please ask those affected first!

the new sorting option is very inconvenient, mail sorting is done very frequently and this new section is not at all helpful

Please reinstate the previous view where users could quickly sort using a single click.

The users in my organization are not pleased. Just give us the option to switch between the two views.

Agreed with all comments below. Productivity is lost having to select quick and simple options through submenus. Being able to quickly select "Unread" or Sort By methods was a huge timesaver, but the added time to look for the right option under the menu takes more time. Add all the instances of 10 seconds here, 20 seconds there, and the lost time getting back on track... that takes a chunk out of the workday.

Please add this feature back, or provide an option for adding this back. Thanks!

The All dropdown has added an unnecessary step. Please add back "arrange by" shortcut.

I hate this new feature. It now takes 2 clicks to resort emails. I spent all day trying to figure out how to fix this and am overwhelmed at the addtional time that it now takes to read emails. A very poor decision that needs to be changed back immediately.

It is beyond annoying that Microsoft changes Outlook 2016 so the option of having one additional click to get to the 'arrange by' function, to have two clicks and a hover of the mouse. Unbelievable! Change it back, please.

WHY ON EARTH WAS IT REMOVED???? - A STUPID UI CHANGE THAT REMOVES A GREAT PRODUCTIVITY SINGLE CLICK OPTION
When searching for emails the ability to switch QUICKLY between Date or From is paramount. Now you have to right click, go down a menu, select then choose.
What on earth is the reason for removing a feature like this?
Obviously no one has done any user based acceptance testing of this NEW backward feature. In the real world speed is critical.
I have been using this option for countless years and it just is amazing that you could do this without any sensible thought.
