Give the user the ability to manually enter dates for recurring appointments that are slightly irregular in Microsoft Outlook 2016 enabling user to over ride the Public or other holidays. Also enable the user to set and update recurring meetings and events as well that are on regular intervals. In the month of May, we have 5 Wednesday or Tuesdays, When we want to set up a recurring event for the fifth Wednesday, I have one option, Last. Then I have 2 events on a 4 Wednesday month and this needs to be looked into as well.
This functionality is also referred to as non standard recurring meetings.
Also, when setting recurring meetings, it would a amazing to have “EXCEPT“ to skip the recurrence on days that will be deleted from the series!
Allow scheduling recurring meeting on the first or last day of the week – similar to the way they can be scheduled on the last day of a month.
Holidays (labor day or memorial day for example) often cause recurring Monday meetings to be scheduled on a holiday. It would be an added benefit if the Recurring meetings are scheduled while taking holidays and non working days into consideration.

What is the latest on this? Selecting Custom Dates on reoccurring meetings is a MUST in using a calendar. As eg. the 20th of each month sometimes falls on a weekend so I must be able to select the Friday if the 20th is on a Saturday or select the Monday if the 20th is on a Sunday. PLEASE CHANGE THIS!! Thank youuuuuu!

This is from another comment of a different ideas thread but if it's true, Please bring this back.
There used to be the option to schedule appointments/meetings on the First and Third Friday or the Second and Fourth Tuesday of the month.
Bring that back.
The option to schedule First and Third Thursday meetings/appointments is not available in the monthly section of Recurrence and scheduling Every 2 Weeks on Wednesday doesn't compensate for months containing five Wednesdays. -

We need a more powerful and more flexible way of planning our meetings.
We would like to create a recurring meeting at different times that follows no rule.
Idea:
open editor for new appointment
add subject, attendees, teams meeting link and body text as usualclick "series"
select "custom dates"this should open a calendar for one year
select dates by clicking on each desired date
e.g.
jan, 15, feb 10, march 26, june 2, october 16, december 28
close the calendar
save the meeting -

It would be helpful to have more options in the monthly section. Right now there is only 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Sometimes a task need to be done the fifth or sixth weekday of the month... just a few more options would be really helpful

One often has the problem that one has to set several appointments on the basis of the availability of the participants and cannot adhere to regularities (e.g. every 1st Thursday of the month). Please insert an option that allows you to manually select dates and times for multiple appointments in a series.

Being able to set up recurrances from the last day / last work day of the month would be extremely helpful. We use tasks and appointment to manage our month end financial activities.
For example, I would like to be able to set up activities on the 5th Last Work Day, or the 8th Last Work Day. -

At the moment if I try to set up a recurring meeting the only options I have for weekdays are first, second, third, forth and last. I'm not sure why this hasn't been resolved sooner because I would assume that most people are putting meetings in during the work week? There needs to be an option to select any weekday within a month. You could ignore the days that don't occur every month (i.e. WD 26 and above) or you could just include a disclaimer that some months would be missed following that rule.

For eg: Every tuesday 9am -10am and every thursday 10am-11am
This helps to track this meeting as a single meeting with meeting minutes captured in teams available

1. You can either change the Meeting Time for the current occurance or all occurance;
2. User should have an option to update weekly timing; suppose i plan to have meeting alternate days on specific weekday (say on Monday, wednesady and Friday at 10:00 AMm but i would like to all Friday meet at different time say 13:00 Hrs) i should be able to update for Fridays; -

The option to schedule the same meeting at different times on different days like for example daily standup meeting needs to be scheduled at 10:30 on all days except on Fridays where we want to meetup at 2pm (for example)

When creating a daily recurring meeting, the default option should be "every weekday".

I used this a great deal! Hope we get enough votes to see this added

Entering a time-zoned recurring all day event does not respect the time zone if 12:00-12:00 is set. Works correctly if 12:01-12:01 is used.

Outlook only has limited selections for recurring meetings. An option should be added to be able to select specific dates (custom dates) by selecting a calendar option and clicking on the specific dates you would like to select.

When editing a recurring meeting series, there should be an option to maintain the history of that series (to allow for accurate historical records of schedule) - there should also be an option to keep any specific overrides that have been made to the meeting.

This would be helpful. We are on a Day 1/Day 2 schedule so each week can be different.

Increase options on meeting RURRENCE to bimonthly, every 3 months, quarterly, or every 6 months (biannually). Current options do not allow for this as "recur every X weeks" does not account for months with 5 weeks.

Enable a recurring meeting type that automatically switches your status to Away (or whatever you would like it to be) during that event. For example, if I put a daily block on my calendar titled lunch, from 1 - 2, that automatically puts my status as Away, then others can see that I'm "away" at "lunch". W/O me having to update this manually every day.
