Restore the feature to hide message header in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Restore the feature to hide message header in Microsoft Outlook 2016 as it was available in the older versions. Or simply restore the feature to hide message header in Microsoft Outlook 2016 like it used to exist in older versions.

Agreed - the header is just duplicative information that renders the reading pane at the bottom completely useless. I can't even read a single line of the email in most instances. And putting it on the right interferes with other Outlook based programs on my computer.

The header takes up so much space with the preview window at the bottom that it's making it useless, and preview on the right just doesn't work for my brain. Please add the option to remove it, or to change its size, in the Mac version!

This is absolutely ridiculous.. So against my better judgement I decided to flip my email accounts from Gmail, over to the Outlook client I now have with my new office 365 subscription. I get my account all imported in from Gmail (Thinking Outlook was going to be a better option) only to find out I can't turn off the extra header information, that is taking up space, and is basically just look ****** all around. Even more frustrating, after searching "how to turn off headers info in Outlook", I find out YOU CANT! Why in the world MS not fix this??? I am really disappointed in MS on what is simply a poor UI experience. I am switching back to relaying my email into Gmail.

Complete waste of space. Highly annoying as I cannot read but the first couple of lines of a given message IF I drag the header up, but then I can only see a few of my messages.

My reading pane is approximately 90% useless, redundant info. I only care about message contents, and sender. Everything else (CC, BCC, timestamps, signatures) is distracting garbage. Just let me quickly skim conversations!

Agree. Reading pane on bottom is becoming smaller and less usable. The ability to toggle on/off the message header while in preview mode would help. Agree, sometimes seems like MS is making Office UIs less useful.

You can put the timestamp back in the message selection ribbon and preview panes!

I can't believe this still is an issue! Just got my new PC, and still - you can't hide the useless message header!

Every update to outlook makes it LESS USABLE. Why is there so much wasted space in the interface? Are you planning to put advertisements there?

I just changed to Office 365 and this feature missing from Outlook 365 is driving me absolutely nuts. It takes up so much room and it's hard to view the message itself with what room is left.
I always use a bottom preview and between this and since a light, thin line between the list of emails and the preview pane - I absolutely hate outlook 365. It makes the reading pain absolutely useless. -

The UX should always into account the minimal amount of clicks or mouse movement to execute a given task. In this case, I strongly disagree with the decision to move the Reply/Reply All/Forward buttons to the top right far extreme of the Outlook screen. Before, above the header/sender info, it was centrally located and required a subtle mouse movement. In the new location, it requires up to 2 mouse slides to get there. This is a far to common action to de-centralized. Please give the option move these buttons back where they were before. Thanks.

It is ridiculous that I don't have the option to remove this. It takes up WAY too much space to only provide me the same, redundant information I have already shown on the screen.

Please enable Hide Header option as many have commented. It takes up WAY too much screen space. Or just offer a 'minimal' option.

The new way that the subject line, sender/recipient information and "reply" "reply all" and "forward"buttons are displayed is awful. The way these were shown previously was logical and visually pleasing. Now it's disjointed and it's hard to tell what I'm looking at after a quick glance. On top of moving everything around and making it harder to see, the line that separated all of the subject and sender/recipient info from the body of the email is now gone. Who thought it was a good idea to just mush the body of the email right into this "header" information?? I hope this is just a late April fools prank, but I fear that someone actually thought these changes were an improvement. Terrible, terrible, terrible! Change it back, or at least give us the option to change it back. Thanks.

the new is not only tedious to set up but also much less user-friendly and in terms of productivity NUL
The banner on the right was faster and hide message header, easier and much easier to use than using the menu.
Frankly not a step forward.PS I accepted the conditions: no choice to send a comment but you could have made the effort of translation ....
That said, I put MY VETO WITH ANY USE OTHER THAN SINGLE STRICTLY ANONYMOUS STATISTICS
AND AS I AM ALSO OBLIGED TO CHECK THE FIRST CASE CONSIDER THAT I DO NOT WISH TO RECEIVE EMAIL AND YOU CAN MAKE ME DESIRE AND FORGET MY ADDRESS SITOT THIS COMMENTARY SENT TO FORTIORI IF IT IS FOR ADVANCES THAT LIKE TO SAME HAS BONDS OF SEVERAL CENTURIES IN BACK. -

Just upgraded from office 2007 to 2019. What a waste of space. Please allow hiding of the header, and/or shrink the other items like attachments, etc.

Allow the message header in the preview pane to be hidden. It is 100% useless and wastes space.
