Option to turn off private mode when outlook automatically adds appointments in calendar
Option to turn off private mode for shared calendars when outlook automatically adds appointments in calendar. We have shared calendars to be able to see what employees are doing, and if Outlook detects and adds an appointment to the calendar, it shows it as private to the rest of the company... for simple appointments such as airline flights and hotels.
Sign into Office.com, Select Outlook, Go to Settings (round wheel in top right corner), select View All Outlook settings at bottom of page, Select calendar, select Events from Email and make sure that the Mark events as private so only I can see is unchecked.

We have the same problem. The private appointment feature needs a turnoff button. It is making scheduling a nightmare.
I agree. Please turn off private mode. Private mode does not allow delegates to manage that particular event.
Fingers crossed for a solution for this. I'm trying to solve this exact issue with no luck so far. These auto appointments don't show as "private" on the owners calendar. It only appears that way to those, like me, who have viewing/editing rights. So a manual fix isn't even an option.
In a corporate environment it would be helpful if I could make certain appointments "Public" such as Working from Home on 1/12. So that everyone would see where I was regardless of whether they have access to my calendar.
