Much needed addition. I have ten email accounts that need to be in one unified/merged inbox. Have done this once in outlook 2016, but an outlook repair destroyed all my mail settings. I cannot track down the original thread that used rules to do this.

This makes no sense: Showing all incoming eMails from various eMail accounts in an "Unified Inbox" works on Outlook 2017 (and all earlier versions) as well as on Outlook 365 for MAC !!! But MS is un willing to change that "IMAP problem" for the 365 Windows version. At the same time we are forced to pay for a limited Outlook version!! This is unacceptable !
Since MS seems to be unwilling to fix this, I recommend everyone to change immediately to the eMail client MAILBIRD. They have a great platform, and this problem doesn't exist there. I have already done so - and I will also inform all relevant computer media about this problem that MS is unwilling to fix. So to say, that Microsoft is unwilling to meet customer demands.

This is a standard feature even in free mail clients, such as Thunderbird and EMail and needs to be added urgently. It is a shame that this simple and common problem has not been resolved yet in 2020!

This is definitely a top priority for Microsoft. This thread started in 2016 and it still has not happened. Microsoft needs to attend to consumers request before it gets irrelevant due to competion. It has happened for IE and I will hate for it to loose out to your competitor who is dominating the market now.

Seriously Outlook needs to have this option. Why is it so hard to do. It happens by default on my iPhone. But you're telling me I cannot even make it work AT ALL on the desktop Outlook? I love Outlook, but I'm currently searching for/testing other mail products--specifically because of the lack of this functionality. This needs to be fixed!

I only can agree. With other clients then Outlook it's possible to create a virtual Folder for all inboxes, Spam folders and also trash folders. So if you have different mail accounts (what a lot of people have) you have not to switch from one account to the other to check your inboxes you can check them direct in one folder to answer, delete etc.

As a blind user using a screen reader, not having a unified inbox for IMAP accounts makes it very difficult. I may as well use POP as that way at least I can have everything in one inbox!

I am actually pretty shocked that this is not a default thing. My phone has it but not my windows pc, how the times have changed

Make it better Microsoft. I think it would be the least to do considering that we pay dearly to access the Outlook platform.

I use to be able to run all email accounts through one folder in Outlook. It is so frustrating not be able to easily do so today. I have both IMAP and pop accounts!
