Provide an option to automatically refresh the Unread emails in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Provide an option to automatically refresh the Unread emails in Microsoft Outlook 2016 rather than toggling between Read and Unread emails to get the updated status about Unread emails.

Agreed; I was about to file the following and instead voted for this.
"When in unread view mode, if a message is marked as read, when switching to another message refresh and hide read messages"

F5 has never worked since I upgraded to O365 (Win10 laptop) to refresh the unread filtered view. The odd thing is it works in the version I use on my work laptop (Win7). But I do think we shouldn't need to hit buttons to update the unread view, when an email is marked as read, this should update automatically like it does on other email programs.
F5 seems to work only for POP and Exchange but not for IMAP (v16.0.12325.20328, 64-bit).

As a work-around, F5 refreshes the list. Would be nice if there was a shortcut to do both mark as read and refresh.

When I open any mails ,the mail count in inbox showing is not decreased.I have to click on any other emails and then it is showing as read.
Outlook 2016 has the ability to mark emails that are read in the left margin of the email items in the list. When you use this feature to mark a new email as read, the Outlook taskbar icon does not clear. However, if you use the standard Unread/Read ribbon button, the taskbar icon does disappear.
