Distribution Group Properties: Expand Owner list
. There is a need to be able to see the listing of multiple owners for Distribution/Security Groups within Outlook.
Exchange provides the means to have multiple owners; So why can’t Outlook integrate the means to view it? Outlook can list the view of multiple members, so in theory it doesn’t seem impossible to implement a change via R&D. It could be tested, if while tested it doesn’t work at least it was tried, right? It seems as though the idea has been rejected via thought, and not testing.
I know I have been fighting hard for this, but that is only because it would be time saving & cost effective for Apria Healthcare.
Here’s an example: Employee A looks up DL-TestExample in Outlook, and when Employee A reviews the Owners, Employee A only sees one Owner …The Owner that is listed is on Vacation for a week…
Employee A is a critical aide in a project but is not receiving important alerts that have been setup within a server because the server is sending emails to the DL that she can’t be a part of unless an Owner adds. IF Employee A would have seen the other 3 Owners…Employee A would have been added to the DL…Instead of having to call the Service Desk to Submit a ticket, (Cost – pay per touch ticket submission), Ticket routed to Exchange Admin, Exchange Admin informs Employee A about the other Owners. Employee A requests of the other owners to be added to DL-TestExample. As you can see there is a lot of lost time here and cost that revolves around communications because time has been used….Please re-submit and include this scenario as this Example has happened multiple times.

Show members for Dynamic Distribution Groups before sending emails, or break them out and then edit the people we're sending this individual email to. Just like regular distribution groups.

You can expand members of a normal distribution list, but not for a dynamic one. Sometimes is good to see before who you are sending the e-mail (also to disable one individual member, for example to ask for money for a birthday present to the group except the one whose birthday it is...)

When searching for or picking a distribution group in a large organization with large number of groups, it would help pick the right group if Outlook displayed the group's description. Without a group's description, users end up spending a lot of time trying to determine the right group to address a message to. Additionally, picking the wrong group involves further back and forth of a few messages, usually sent to all members of the wrong distribution group, which can be a productivity drain for all recipients.
