Contact Activity Tracker
Please bring back the Contact Activity Tracker, and make it better with new features like integration with LinkedIn or whatever. I need the ability to see all sent and received messages from a contact.
Outlook could be so much better (and actually were better, because these functions were available in older versions). Who needs or wants a CRM? Facebook destroys the argument that this feature should be removed from Outlook, so that Microsoft can sell more Dynamics licenses. Facebook gives this feature away for free.

What is wrong with you folks at Microsoft? It seems you have cared more about making things pretty than about function lately? I don't get it! The ACTIVITY TRACKER FROM PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF OUTLOOK WAS ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE ASSETS of OUTLOOK.
NOW IT'S GONE!!!
It seems that people that make the product functioning decisions are more interested in fluff than function.
Please bring it back!
The data is all there!! Seems like a no brainer and an easy fix to me!
Thanks!

This feature was an integral part of running my business while under the older version. I mistakenly assumed it would continue with my upgrade to O365. Had I known it was removed I would have considered not upgrading and going a different route. This has been a major disruption to my organization of effort.

Please bring back the Contact Activity Manager!!!!! So useful and could be used as a pipeline to feed O365 CRM sales. Could be a great strategy to fill your pipeline Microsoft.

As above - This allows individuals to be temporarily flagged as being uncontactable. The feature would be helpful for managing mail-outs from merge lists without having to delete or move the contact from the contact list.

It is VERY disconcerting that MS totally disregarded the fact that a good number of Outlook users relied on the management of their contacts, tasks, appts, etc AND the use of user added fields, photos, use of color coding, tags and categories to maintain the efficiency of their daily work. You've reinvented the wheel with no concern for the fact that you had us revamp our management techniques to use formats you developed and gave us and then unilaterally stripped the links and destroyed something that worked great except for the lack of smooth technical transfer of outlook files and folders to new computers.
Where we could once see all associated activities associated to a contact within seconds by just selecting activities OR by selecting the contact associated with an appointment or task, we now have ZERO connections. All organization is GONE. Please return this connectivity so that we can retrieve all that you disconnected without forethought.

Come è possibile fare invece in Outllook 2016 ??
Grazie

However, I miss the convenience of seeing all of my correspondence, of any type, with a contact on one screen. I was a heavy user of Journal entries to log phone calls and other notes. Now Journal entries are only calendar timeline entries with no ability to link to a contact. In fact, almost all activities, even contacts, had a Contact field at the bottom to link to other related contacts. I, like you, would like to have access to the thinking behind this change of philosophy, if indeed there is any.

Run reports or show filtered list view of calendar items. I'd be able to see at a glance how much vacation I used, for example.

Please please bring back the contact activity tab and the contact field in calendar events. I need the ability to see all calendar items with a contact WITHOUT sending them an invitation. I kept detailed notes on my clients in linked calendar events for 15 years only to find this feature is gone in the new and "improved" Outlook 2016. I will keep running 2007 until this feature is restored or I move to another CRM. This feature was crucial to Outlook and without it I may as well use Gmail full time and sign up for Salesforce.

Why did you remove the Activities feature from Contacts in Outlook 2016 - it was very, very useful. The new People Pane doesn't have the same functionality.
At least, include outbound emails in the People Pane, not just inbound emails from Contacts...

As an aside to my previous comment. What kind of education do I need to post here with my Outlook.com E-mail address ? Google has e-mail and contacts under control. I had some kid at MS Outlook support ask me ; "What do you want to do with outlook !" Simple answer is I want to do the things the program was originally designed to do, keep track of activities related to Clients, Friends, family, My dog, My doctor, My lawyer, my house, My airplane, my Vehicles. Most of them are not the slightest bit interested in Sharing back with me every time I make a bloody note !!! Pitiful. My Car and dog need e-mail addresses ? I am going to send an e-mail to my doctor or lawyer to confirm an appointment ? A purchasing agent for a major corporation wants to "Share" with me ? I am retired now, and this idea everybody wants to know what I had for breakfast and share my latest selfie confuses the heck out of me. Are there not other free programs that do that while mining our data ? Is that what our Love / Hate relationship with Microsoft products has devolved to ?

I have PST data files containing all my activities associated with CONTACTS for 20 years ! I used Outlook to track everything . Microsoft has in steps dumbed down Outlook, with every new release. Culminating in this abomination called 365. I would like to know, if 365 is now some kind of fancy dating service, What program will allow me to read the 20 years of activities contained in those data files ???? 20 comments of outrage at this betrayal ? Where is everybody ?

It makes it so much easier to see all activity in one place. Now I need to look at different places to see all activity for a contact, not very useful or productive.

Where has the activity tab gone from Outlook Contacts?
It used to be a feature in MS Schedule where you could audit emails, appointments against each contact giving a full ATS capability ans Customer Record but its not in outlook - or at least its well hidden
