Make 'today' stand out more in the calendar
I don't like the way 'today' is highlighted in the calendar in Outlook Outlook 2016: a thin line at the top of the day, in the same color as the calendar. It's hard to see and blends in with appointments that are not categorized.
Add an option to overlay color on the today's column of today's events.
Or when clicking on the calendar, it would be nice if TODAY was at the top of month view, not the bottom. I want to see the next coming days of schedules, not the past without having to scroll every time.
Thank you for providing a clear signal that we should improve how we highlight “Today” on the calendar.
We are planning to make this update in Outlook for Office 365 subscribers. We will post a subsequent status update when this is available for you to use in Outlook.
Thank you very much for your feedback. Please do keep making suggestions and voting on others’ suggestions to help us improve the product.

Agreed, this makes sense. 'Today' should be far more visible in the calendar 'month' view. Disappointing to see that for such an apparently simple improvement, that this has remained unaddressed for so long.

Have today in a more contrasting colour in week view.

When in "Week" or "Work Week" views, I don't see a benefit to having the line showing current time on days other than today.
I suggest making it less visible or invisible on other days.
I work almost exclusively in WEEK view b/c I'm often scheduling things for the week. However, in a rush, I've repeatedly mistook an adjacent day's appointment for today's b/c TODAY is not very well distinguished. E.g., Please make the entire day a slightly different shade, or outline it or such.

Please make "Today" highlight more visible.
Correct the calendar display to clearly highlight "Today" so as to make "Today" stand out from the rest of the calendar.

Marcar dia actual
Mark current day
Marcar de una manera mas clara el dia actual en el calendario (hoy). Actualmente solo se marca con la linea superior del cuadro del dia y no se ve bien.
Mark in a clearer way the current day in the calendar (today). Currently only marks with the top line of the picture of the day and does not look good.

Can "today" box in the calendar month view be highlighted better?
Make the current date more obvious. The current monthly or weekly views do not highlight the current day/date in a visually obvious way. Perhaps the current date could have the background shaded or a red line around the day>

Highlight the current date with a bold frame around the date squre in 'month view'.
The current setting just blends with the use of bold for other dates.
The current day has a thin line across the top which matches the default scheduled events and it VERY muted as a result. I never know what the current date is, and this messes me up all the time. Allowing the end user to add a custom color to highlight the current day and keep the color-coded events for each day in lieu of having to use conditional formatting (which doesn't help when there aren't any tasks yet on the current day).

The current day is only identified by the date in bold. This is not visible, put a bando fix of color on this day.
Please fix this...I have Outlook 2019 and has the same issue!

Make Today in Calendar have a distinct outline, maybe a user chosen colour to make it stand out against colour-coded appointments. At present, all I see is a very narrow pale blue bar at the top of the Today cell.
Just gray out events in the past like Google calendar does,
This is a big problem for me. It's so hard to see what the current day is in Outlook 2013. Such a joke that we can't fix it.

Calendar- option to show days past greyed out or X'd out, and the current day highlighted a bit more noticable.
Seems others have requested this feature.
I've just got Outlook 365 at work and this is still an issue. I've spent the day trying to get outlook back to a user friendly interface like it was in Outlook 2010. No alternating colour to discern different months is also incredibly annoying.
The actual state is not acceptable and very (!) outdated. In Company I have to work with Outlook because of company rules. But for my private affairs I avoid Outlook because if this incredible old fashioned UI.
Look for example at the app "aCalendar" -> outstanding!!

This has been missing for years. How long does it actually take to design and implement?
Surely an expert coder, such as a Microsoft employee, could sort this out within a day or two....or am I just being too optimistic?
