Make 'today' stand out more in the calendar
I don't like the way 'today' is highlighted in the calendar in Outlook Outlook 2016: a thin line at the top of the day, in the same color as the calendar. It's hard to see and blends in with appointments that are not categorized.
Add an option to overlay color on the today's column of today's events.
Or when clicking on the calendar, it would be nice if TODAY was at the top of month view, not the bottom. I want to see the next coming days of schedules, not the past without having to scroll every time.
Thank you for providing a clear signal that we should improve how we highlight “Today” on the calendar.
We are planning to make this update in Outlook for Office 365 subscribers. We will post a subsequent status update when this is available for you to use in Outlook.
Thank you very much for your feedback. Please do keep making suggestions and voting on others’ suggestions to help us improve the product.

And if it's possible to make the hour stand out too, please. Maybe I'm crossed eyed, but when it gets to Thurs or Fri, and I'm reading across to see the row I often end up on the wrong appointment. THank you!
It is not believable that Microsoft is actually "working" on this since 2018. I know large companies can become tied up in their own processes, but this is plainly ridiculous - this is a lunchtime fix! We all want a *clearly highlighted* box to separate Today from all the other weak blue rectangles in the calendar, but this is apparently too complex for Microsoft to handle?
IN dark mode, if I want to view my today's calendar in the "Month View" I cannot see "Today" clearly. It would be good if even with a colored calendar with dark theme I am able to see the "Today" clearly
Thank you for planning this. Would you please let us know when it will be released? I have the current Outlook 365 and making 'today' column stand out is still not possible.
Great way to force an upgrade LOL
It is still bad in current ooutlook 365 version. When will this be implemented finally?
I don't understand why this is such a difficult request. Google does this (allows day customization of color). Come on Microsoft...

Where's this at on the roadmap?
I'm seeing the new day highlight. A few requests:
1. I notice that the horizontal line tracking the current time now updates when the window is not focused. Thank you for fixing that problem as well!
2. I am not sure about that horizontal line stopping at the current day's column, though. I preferred the previous horizontal time line's appearance of going through the full week view.
3. Is there a blog or something else that captures changes to Outlook and other Office products at the granularity level that this sort of thing would be included? If not, please consider adding such an update stream. Thanks!
With the most recent update for Outlook 365, today's date in the calendar is very pale, barely visible. can we please restore the look of the previous version where today's date is actually a nice DARKER shade of blue?
the other calendar changes are fine, is just it looks like a mash of blue now, all the same, boring. thanks!
What is the status on this update? I see no change in Microsoft 365
'Working on it' since October 2018? Really? I don't believe this could possibly take so long. Please don't tell us you're working on it when it's simply not true. Jeez.
A simple solution would be to allow the setting of a background color for all cells for 'Today' in the Calendar. That way the entire column for 'today' would be easily distinguished from every other day/column.
This would be so easy to code and would help thousands upon thousands of users.
Any progress? I would like to see this feature as well.
Microsoft, it can't be that complicated, no? It's impossible that you're working on this since more than 1.5 years and there is still no solution.. :S

Deeply disappointing that MS took two years to respond to this request, then have ignored it for another two years. And all anyone really wants is the option to have an already-existing marker appear to be a brighter colour.
Current day at the top of the month view

In the To Do Bar have the meeting(s) for Today show in a different color than meetings on future days. They could be blue like unread emails. Any meetings on future days would remain black. This would make meetings scheduled for that day more prominent. It would also prevent a user who has no meetings that day see the word Tomorrow and misread it as Today due to a cursory glance.

Recently migrated to Outlook 2016 being searching for "today" in the calendar since then.

I love the blue line that tells you what time it is, but a small enhancement to that would be is if there was red indicator to make the current day standout.
