Why does my Outlook have a constant lag in it's operations since the 2016 upgrade?
Office Outlook 2016 runs extremely slow, with a constant lag in all it's operations. ie. when selecting emails or switching between mail, calendar, contacts, there's an average 2-3 second lag. With the calendar, it doesn't scroll properly and has to 'think' about it before jumping forward/backward. selecting This has only started occurring since the 2016 upgrade.

While the World is in constant evolution, MS Outlook & Office are in constant involution. Much slower, hard to manage, loosing features...

Gets slower as Outlook is left open for several days. Restarting Outlook speeds things back up. Switching between emails and folders starts taking several seconds.

cpu running continuously - removed all internet calendars. Made registry change due to errors in search criteria. CPU runs all the time when outlook is open and drops to near zero when outlook is closed.
I have recently gone to Windows 10 (64 Bit) Office 2016 (64 bit). My Bad!. Outlook is slow, looses its way and takes a while (minutes) to respond, it is pathetic. It also crashes more often.
The same slowness is across Word and Excel all of which forget where they were last at.
Windows 7 with Office 13 worked far more reliably.
Finally, some idiot thought it would be a great idea to make the text in the main pane a light grey which cannot be changed. Bad idea for someone who's eye are not that great as the contrast has gone.

I agree that the performance of Outlook, in particular, recently is all to often slow. I get white screens and Waiting to Respond notices. Please fix!
Pathetically slow on Win 10 Pro on NEWfast laptop w16gigs plus 2 gig video

After several days of having Outlook open on my laptop the number of handles goes from 4,600 to 5,700 (from process explorer).
At this point, Outlook becomes sluggish in response and does not refresh it's pane (ie: if I minimize another app, the image of the previous app stays in the email list and reading panes), until I click on a different folder within Outlook.
Closing and restarting Outlook seems to do the trick at fixing it, so looks like some form of a memory leak.

Improve Outlook stability - Stability of outlook is getting ridiculous. Tired of random features being turned on and continuous updates praying that outlook will still work ok after them. Things like not being able to switch from calendar to inbox. Delete button all of a sudden stops working. Scroll bar won't go to the top of the window, screen won't paint, Outlook becomes incredibly slow...etc and then all of a sudden after an update those things go away and something else starts. A huge productivity killer and fixing that would make us more productive then any feature has in the last few years.
Very slow when synchronize or send/receive. also receiving email slower than mobile phone and very lag.
This is really an issue. Lags while writing sometimes.

Pegs my CPU, making the PC unusable. This gets fixed or Office 365 goes right out the Window (pun intended).

Outlook 2016 is slower in its speed and performance than what it replaced.
Color scheme is very ugly compared to the previous design.
It is very slow now. Speed it up. Missing the ability to disable animation and other useless candies.
The "unread" count is very slow to update when RSS items change their status to "read." Sometimes I have to click on Inbox to get the number to update. This seems like an easy fix, since the RSS item itself is indicated as having been read.
