Option to Add contact photo as a URL and render the photo using the URL
Provide an option to store only a contact photo URL instead of the image. This way we could use the URL to point to LinkedIn, Facebook or Avatar picture of a contact.
On the main Outlook Mail screen, where you can see the list of emails, it's just a bland list of senders and subjects, with no quick way to differentiate them.
In the built-in Windows 10 Mail app, it displays contact photos in the list, or different coloured circles containing the senders' initials.
It would be great if this could be added into Outlook as I find it easier to glance at my inbox and see a face of someone who I've been waiting for an email from.
NOT A NEW IDEA: Need to be able to add a photo to OUTLOOK CONTACT file (we used to be able to do this.) :)
Outlook shows a sender's photo if available in the contacts. In case the sender has no photo in the contacts or is not in the contacts at all, here is a new default solution:
Outlook can use the favicon of the sender domain as the photo. E.g. when I receive an e-mail from someone from siemens.com, outlook fetches https://www.siemens.com/favicon.ico and takes this image as the default photo.
