Customize default meeting time in Calendar or Option to add inter-meeting breaks where there is back to back meetings
Provide an option to set the default meeting length to 50 minutes in order to have a 10 minutes breather towards the end of a meeting to process, take a break, and prepare for the next meeting.
or there should be option to add inter-meeting breaks where there is back to back meetings
The new “End Meetings Early” options are now available in Outlook for Windows, for Monthly channel customers with an Office365 subscription.
After users upgrade to Version 1812, they can view the Outlook’s Options dialog and find the new options under the Calendar tab. This version was released January 2019.

Great use of the calendar especially in trying to get just a little time between meetings
this is possible with a Macro
please add functionality to base install
Like the desire to make meetings more efficient and on-time. Do some good research here and see if, in an organizationally-definable fashion, we can provide a good default that will enable but not annoy. Empower desiring organizations to set (or remove) these kinds of defaults for their Outlook users if so desired.
Set default time to 25mins or 55mins.
• Gives people time to go from one meeting to another, bio break etc
• Helps start meetings on time, promoting a culture of punctuality and respect for everyone’s time
• Allow people the time necessary to connect to the projector/phone
To control the time dedicated only for this purpose

Allow customized start and end times, i.e. :05 past the hour for start, :05 before for end

Allow customized appointment time slots and recurring appointment # of days. We use 6 day rotation and it is so much work not to be able to choose #of days instead of certain day of week.
We also have 45 minute periods and cannot set default meeting times for that. Creates a lot of work for the secretaries to have to manually do all this for multiple people.

Several times a year, I create a Calendar Invite and accidently forget to set the date and time. By default, an invite is sent with the current date and time for a meeting. I would like all invites to not have a default date and time, and require that you make a selection.
I'm voting for the idea of automatically providing attendees with custom buffer time in their free/busy schedules around meetings.

In order to help avoid these back-to-back meetings (08:00-09:00 and the next 09:00-10:00) which have simply been put up by convenience: add a setting allowing meetings to start - by standard - at 09:05 and end at 09:55.
It would great to be able to select any duration in 5 minute increments! I get asked for this all the time.

How about we get an option to automatically block time before and after each meeting? One needs time to change room and gather thoughts..

I am not ok, that my ideas was merged with this one, because it's not the same idea. I am not asking for a 50min default time. I am asking for Outlook, to always reserve a certain amount of time before and after each meeting. Outlooks shall help me to address the "back to back" meeting issue. I can handle it manually, but much easier it was, when it happened by configuration.

I think many of you should know the problem of having back to back meetings. One day with 10 hours, and 10 one hour meetings. There is no time in between, to change rooms, no time take minutes or a just a break after the meetings. You are always late or you need to always run early from or to a meeting.
It is my manual task to always block some time before and after meetings, lot's of extra clicking in Outlook.
I would love to see a feature or someone explain to me how I can tell Outlook, to by default make my meetings appear to start 15 minutes earlier and stop 15 minutes later, than they actually do, so no one can book back to back through my entire schedule.

I would like to be able to compress meeting times, by a time or percentage and configure this in my profile. I find that with meetings defaulting to be set to 30 minute increments, meetings tend to run up to the end time or over which makes following meetings start late. In order to schedule a meeting to end 5 minutes earlier - or let's say making them 17% shorter - requires a lot of manipulation of the end time in Outlook. This change allows for wrap up, summarizing and even transport time between meetings... or biobreaks!
