I was typing into a Task Item, Outlook crashed, and then Outlook recovered and automatically opened the task that I was working on. However, all of the text that I had typed during the past few minutes was lost. Outlook should save my work more often.

When I start Outlook I would like the mailbox and the calendar to open automatically in two separate windows. This configuration should be saved for being used at every restart.

Sometime user keep N mails open for certain pending actions. Due to some update or accidentally closing of outlook . Same mail windows are not reopened again which were kept opened before by user.

There should be an option to restore previously open messages after reebot or smth. Like in web browsers. Cause im constantly have some mails open on toolbar and after every action like reebot or accidentaly close window i dont remember all the emails.

If a user has ten emails opened and wishes to work on four emails later, but has to restart Outlook for some reason, he has to go through the inbox again and open those emails, or setup individual tasks which is time consuming. So if he can 'pin' emails that can open along with the application when restarted - that'd be great!

Ugh! Yes, Outlook crashes a couple of times a week and I can't always remember everything that I was working on.

YEEES pleaaaase! Sometimes Outlook closes suddenly because of a crash or computer update that required to close all programs. In this case, all emails/items opened and waiting to be read or replied to are lost... It's always a big problem for me as I cannot recall all the items that were open.
I used to work on Lotus Notes and it was opening automatically all the items if it happened to be closed or interrupted...
Outlook should have applied this since long. I guess many people work with many open windows/items they want to work on or read later...
Thank you -

I second Shwta Bansal's idea of : Please reopen all the emails and Outlook windows including drafts that were open in Microsoft Outlook 2016 before restart or crash. I just lost 2/3 of a very important document.

This has been a HUGE business impediment for years as Outlook crashes. Kudos to restoring the open items, but you need to work (quickly) on adding the restoration of open Drafts to the process.
Thanks!

When closing Outlook, the user should have an option to restore open message windows. I often have many message windows open simultaneously, and lose them whenever updates make me reboot, Outlook crashes, etc.

Make it work the same as Tabs work in Edge, or a default setting.

It would be extremely useful to have Outlook restore all open emails / drafts when Windows crashes / BSOD. Word, Excel, PPT, and Chrome all make a BSOD not a big deal, but I often have 20 emails open to do something with later. I lose all that when windows BSOD.

Generally there will be many mails were opened in my desktop which I am going to track. But when some time my machine restarts for x, y, x reasons, and when I reopen outlook, I have no idea what all the mails I have opened previously and will lost track of that. This really hurts. It will be a nice feature to give an option to user to show all previously opened mails when outlook is re-opened. I am pretty sure many people faces similar issues.

It shouldn't just be drafts, open my emails (recieved or drafts) as it was when Outlook or Windows crashed!

Agree, it is is rather irritating. You would think that the bug causing it to crash might correct itself when it did this impromptu restart, but no, it is just as likely to happen again 5mins later... :(

I may be in the middle of a sentence or paragraph and office hesitates and then restarts. Please fix this. It is very irritating and time consuming. I think that i like office 365 but I dont like the constant restarting of the program.
