Allow a message to be flagged when composing a reply or forwarding a message in the preview pane.
Currently when you reply to or forward a message, if you compose it in the preview pane, the follow-up flag button is missing, you have to pop out the message in order to flag it. Please add the flag button to the options available for a message being composed in the preview pane.

Allow the modification of a flag while the preview pane is active.

When you have a message flagged for follow-up and you reply to that message, it should ask you if you want to change the flag status.

As a supervisor, I have found that employees do not always open and read email. I would like to be able to identify an email as "action required" so that the employee knows that they need to open and read.
Bring back email flag functions. Why does functionality keep getting removed or changed for the worse almost every week?

What about having a follow up flag items (description, dates, reminders) move to the latest email in a conversation, including your response to a flagged email that you then need to follow up on?

Yes, please. FUP in Preview Pane is a must have.
Also, I think you used to be able to mark a follow-up flag "complete" for drafts. For example, in a shared folder if someone has a follow up to review a draft before another person sends it, it would be nice to be able to check the "complete" check mark so the author can easily see it is OK to be sent. This recently changed, I believe. I believe this was possible as recently as a week ago.
