Multiple choices of colors, background and themes like black theme in Desktop Outlook 2016
Multiple choice of colors and themes like black theme in Desktop Outlook 2016. Also provide an option of feature to reduce too much white space used in Microsoft Outlook. The new outlook is very complicated. Unfortunately I was forced to upgrade to outlook 2016 and Windows 10, otherwise I would have kept the old version of outlook. Microsoft need to consider people feedback and make material changes to outlook in order for users to be able to use it in the most efficient way. Right now, I am finding difficulties in using this outlook. Outlook should be more colorful like the old version so users can distinguish between mailbox, folders, junk, recycle…etc. Users should be able to easily find folders and folders with new version of outlook, just like old version. New version is all white and gray and doesn’t allow users to easily find required options. Also layout should be more efficient and unnecessary options must be removed. It’s important for Microsoft to understand that outlook is used for business purpose and users with high volume of work/tasks will not be able to easily coop with their work using a complicated outlook. Outlook layout look very busy and they are so many options. Bring old version back. It was easier to work and handle emails. Also an option to match color schemes or themes with an organization’s color themes would enhance customization.
Using text boxes (that have actual chrome around them) are a lot easier on the eyes and easier to navigate than white space with a few delimiting lines. The trend of de-chromifying was hard to cope with when Windows went to its old Metro design and when Outlook.com started trying it, and it's still weird and painful to use with the new Outlook design.
you should add a setting where you can change the colour of the home screen (but dark theme on computer isnt good) maybe add red, orange, yellow, green, dark blue, violet, indigo and pink.
Color combinations are terrible as well as font combinations. They are hurting the eyes. Please improve it
******* the eyes - primarily Outlook.
Difficult to differentiate between windows and views.
Useless information all over the screen, multiple font types and sizes, gray circle with two initials...
Important details ( subject, when the message was received/sent, recipients) are VERY difficult to pick out quickly.
Overall the look and feel is very childish, hard to use for a business professional.
Also, constant changes to the look- seems like updates happen every few months that change the look and feel of icons, etc.
One would think that a clean, easy to read, well defined look would at least be an option.

I am Hafiz Haq at email@example.com. Last year I bought Office 365 and I am very dissatisfied with the font color., which looks like light grey over bright white screen and hence is not easily readable. I have complained to MS support and he set the font color as Black but still the font looks more grey than black. Please change this
I see this post is over 3 years old. I just upgraded to Outlook 2016 from Outlook 2010. The colors are horrible. I either have strain at the dark themes or squint at the 'colorful' and 'white' themes. Why not allow panel colors to be changed? Allowing a contrast of dark and light, or any color scheme for that matter, between panels would be so much better.

Theme idea. There should be an option: colorful black theme. You would have colourful title bar from colourful theme, with the rest of the app taken from the black theme.

I am an Admin Assistant. I use Outlook all day and have multiple calendars open at all times. We need more background color options. Maybe separate options for the inbox and calendar, The White colors in the inbox are too pale and it is hard to different between the emails and the different categories if you use categories.
The color options are just as bad as you cannot just use them for the inbox.
The glaring color options on the calendar conflict with the individual colors of the different open calendars and also conflict with color coding of individual meetings. The result is a head splitting explosion of color which is far too much to deal with all day.
A dark theme option like the one in Outlook.com would be really nice for the client.

Improve the contrast of Outlook UI. Lightgray/white is just white mess with some text . Other themes are no real alternative.
I can not share the enthusiasm for these ultra-flat designs at all. As the display resolutions continue to grow and the color reproduction becomes more and more realistic, designs are created for which a monochrome display would be nearly sufficient. Why should that be good?
The choice of alternative designs does not make me happy. One makes individual windows (like main window, e-mail opened in a separate window or window for writing new e-mail) hardly stand out from each other.
Another in contrast causes me eye pain, because in some places the foreground and background are not enough contrasting, making content difficult to read. Elsewhere foreground and background colors tend to bite.
Please create designs, even different ones, which will satisfy the eyes of all generations and the possibilities of current display devices.
To have the option of visual "themes" in Outlook. I would like one of the themes to mirror the appearance of the old Outlook.
Can you please put the Black theme back in Mail? It was great and the Gray mode is awful!!!!!!!!!! I have a 365 account but it is associated with another account and if I want to use it, I have to uninstall Office2016 from my computer. That is garbage. If you can't make it easier to add something as simple as the Black mode to people who pay so much for your product, then I will cease to use you product. Looks like until you can offer this to all of us who paid the ridiculous price for you software, instead of those who just pay for 365, then Gmail it is.

In Dark Mode a colored frame/choices should be provided for a new email. The way it is now it is hard to identify the new mail window!
New customized themes availability
the look and feel of the new outlook is terrible. Nothing seems to be in order, and this is not about me being used to the old version. It's just that there is no improvement visually in the new version. I feel like I'm using an 8-bit 1990's program. The Icons look boring and the same grey, black theme is depressing. There is a Colorful theme option but when I select it nothing happens. You can definitely improve the interface. In today's colorful world to have a black or grey outlook interface is just nonsense. Or atleast keep some more theme or customization available for download.
I'd like no theme at all. Just use the selected windows colors like every other application i install.
THE DARK GREY THEME IS NOT SO DIFFERENT FROM THE DARK THEME. PLEASE ADD A LIGHT GREY THEME OPTION TO MAKE EVERYTHING MUCH MORE PLEASING.
Outlook needs more themes that are easier to read!
I want to make my outlook more graphically appealing.
