Enable colored mailbox folders or Color coded All Unread Inbox
Enable to set colors for the (sub-)folders in the mailbox, because the human brain links words with colors easier. So when I search e.g. the folder "Verbesserungsvorschläge", I don't need to search the written folder by eye. No, I can search by the color, that I defined for this folder. I mean, that the background around the letters of the foldername should have a color.
Also, It would be great if there were an “All Unread” email from all different email inboxes. Then each mailbox inbox could have a different color and in the All Unread the emails from that inbox would be highlighted in that matching color. So you could have three email accounts and pick red for the 1st, blue for the 2nd and yellow for the 3rd. As new unread messages come into each email inbox, they would show up in the All Unread messages, highlighted with the color of the email inbox from which they came.

I like having multicolors to coordinate different projects/staff folders. This would also be great for Windows application as well. How many votes needed to have an idea be considered for a feature add-in.

This is a great idea. I use outlook as my work tool mainly. Have 50+ folders, so having a color code would increase my productivity

I have almost 50 folders all of which have subfolders, and in some cases sub-sub folders. This is basically my filing system. Being able to colour code the 'parent' folders would save me a whole lot of time each day as i file my emails. PLEASE MS add this feature, and make it easy to use!

Being able to color code my email folders and subfolders would make things much easier and more organized! It would also be great to be able to custom organize the order sub-folders show up, instead of it having to be alphabetical. Thanks!

Allow users to color code their mailboxes and/or subfolders. I have many clients who have more than one mailbox added in their Outlook with many subfolders. It would be nice if they could color code their mailboxes so they can more easily identify where they're at as opposed to having to scroll up or down to see which mailbox they're working in.

I am surprised this has not been implemented yet, I have hundreds of folders for various projects, scanning thru them is arduous to say the least, color coding would make scanning so much simplerer.

It would be very useful if folders with new incoming mail were highlighted with some color (preferably a one you would choose). Thunderbird has this functionality. You never miss new mail, especially when you have many folders and filters.

In calendar you have the opportunity to change the color scheme, it should be able to for outlook all around.

I want to color code my email folders. I have about 100 email folders that I store my emails in. If there were even 4-5 different colors for folders it would be so much easier to find the correct file to put each email in. (and I do not mean the current color coding system that creates rules for each sender.)

Working daily in Outlook for over a decade now, my personal folder has dozens of subfolders, some of which have subfolders themselves. It is incredibly challenging and inefficient to scroll through the folder list to locate the one I need. I have attempted other ways - ALL CAPS, all lowercase, use of numbers for sorting, etc., but it always comes down to finding the initial folder I need that takes more time than necessary. It would be fantastic to have the ability to apply a color to each folder name (and subfolders!) - or as another person mentioned, applying a color bar/band behind the account name to highlight it as desired. Perhaps also consider to then have the option to apply a color shading scheme to any subfolders within so that, if the user desires, all folders/subfolders can fall under a single color shading band. With so many tools at our fingertips already, something fairly simple to aid in organization and improve efficiency would be a very welcome improvement!!

From memory Windows Live Mail had some of these color and bold options and also had 'All Unread' and 'All Junk' folders so it's surprising, and very disappointing, that even now Outlook 2019 hasn't got these.

Please add the colour code option.
For the time being, I use emojis to make the important folders I work with often stand out.
