Provide a feature to Import contacts from .vcf or vCard file as well as from other accounts in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Please provide an option import and export individual as well as group contacts from VCard or .vcf file for efficient handling/management of Contacts in Microsoft Outlook 2016. An option to Import contacts from .vcf / vCard file as well as from other accounts in Microsoft Outlook 2016 would be an added benefit. To make the contacts management function more efficiently it needs an option to import multiple contacts at one time to a custom contact screen with specific user fields. Also ability include calendar and tasks on main contact screen with notes too.

How can it not be possible to have a bulk loader for the most common contact-sharing format in the Universe (ok, maybe it's just Earth.)
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/import-contacts-from-icloud-vcard-vcf-file-to-outlook-7d23aa76-ae22-43d0-a6df-e6e91bea7d38 even includes this note: "If you'd like to request that bulk import from a vCard file be supported in Outlook, visit the Outlook Suggestion Box to leave your feedback in the Outlook 2016 group. The Outlook Mail and Calendar team is actively monitoring this forum. "
Well, this smacks of 'one department is really aware the issue, but can't communicate with another.
Of all the items on a wish list, how could this not be assigned to a JR progammer, whose cost is shared across millions of users. Oh, no. That might cost $0.005/user. Once.
Or, maybe it's just that Apple has the upper hand on this topic?
Sigh.

Not just Outlook 2016!!! We paid A LOT of $ for Outlook and you can't just walk away from 2013!!!!!!! Microsoft screws users on every front, you hate us and just want to suck us dry of data and money. We will avoid MS every chance we get. #AnythingButMicrosoft

Hey
I would like to suggest a blog that will tell users how to convert contacts to Card manually without hassle. Here you will get manual ways to perform the conversion.

Due to COVID-19, online business negotiations are increasing. Contact exchanges with vCards are increasing, but the problem is that Outlook.com cannot import vcf files.

From comment of March 7, 2018...
"WORKAROUND FOR NOW: Create a gmail account, bulk import vCard file to gmail contacts (where the import IS supported) then export contacts from gmail to an Outlook formatted .csv file. Then you can bulk import contacts to Outlook via .csv file."
There is no need for new code in outlook, owa, etc. Microsoft or github could easily, very easily, create a website where you drop the vcf file and it creates the csv file. Would be great if code were on github: a simple bash script could probably do it. Just need to watch out for UTF-8 or other possible gotchya issues.
As of 2019-09-25 the ms site still says...
"To import contacts in a vCard file to Outlook on a PC, you need to convert them from a .vcf file format to a .csv file format. This involves importing them to Windows, and then exporting them to the CSV file. If you have more than 50 or so contacts, this is a tedious process because you have to press OK for each contact you want to import to the csv file. Unfortunately, there's no way to do a global OK and import all of them to the csv file at the same time.If you'd like to request that bulk import from a vCard file be supported in Outlook, visit the Outlook Suggestion Box to leave your feedback in the Outlook 2016 group."

Importing a VCF in bulk is something other clients I've used can do . . . but not Microsoft.

Win 10 Address book disappeared with the reset so my only contacts are on vcard exported from iCloud. But Microsft makes it impossible to import vcard into Outlook. even though Microsoft invented vcard. What a bunch of losers in Redmond!

Please do this! It's so uncomfortable to go too many steps to convert in csv. And when it's done, it doesn't work properly with csv-fromat as well ... very poor. vcf is clear, defined and easy to handle!

Microsoft developers are not as good in coding as open source community developers... They don't know what word "standard" means.

Please do this. The workaround is vintage old-school Microsoft: Instead of importing them one by one, just convert them to .csv one by one and then import it! Uhhhhhhhhhh no. Please fix this, show us the new Microsoft that everyone's cheering for!

Your forcing me to dump this Outlook 365 and go back to an earlier version. I'm an engineer and don't have the time or will to do 500 contacts one at a time.

outlook has been around for many many years and on many many computer. why in the world, MS team cannot develop a small program within outlook to import BULK VCF .
Going via Gmail contacts to cvs tthen import to outlook contacts is just to cumbersome.
I have 4.5k of contacts but for some reasons, my samsung sync to outlook has encountered error. something wrong with the sync markers.
Wish MS can just have a easy way to import mass vcf. -

It is all possible with conversion of PST to VCF format. The vCard holds MS Outlook contacts to share them on different email clients as well as smart Converters like Blackberry, iPhone etc… You can export Outlook to vCard manually or choose a PST to vCard exporter to successfully accomplish the task.
