Add Sticky Notes or Notes to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Keep 'open item' emails in my inbox, and while we can categorize them to help them remember what's what, it would be very helpful if we could add a simple note to the Inbox view (i.e. without having to open the email), just saying "with John for review", or "sent to group, awaiting feedback", or "chase by Friday".
Perhaps the 'comment' functionality from Office could work, with just a little speech bubble that opens when hovered over - this would make my life MUCH easier!
Also, it would be good to attach a little sticky note to an email for email works. Also I would like to see visual updates on sticky notes for certain work tasks, adding a sticky not that once you enter a comment it displays it all the time, looking more like a note and a stamp.

Add the ability to put a note to an email that would pop up when you hover over an email in Outlook similar to a note in Excel.

If I want to follow up an email or quote with a phone call and/or a follow up task, it would be nice to be able to post a note indicating that was done, on what day and time and what the results of the call was
I'd like to be able to add a notation to a received email. For example, Amazon sends me an email that an order has shipped. I'd like to be able to put a note on it that "This is the notebook I ordered" since they send an email for each item you order and the only way to identify it is by price and order number.

A way you can add a note to the email you have flagged. That way you dont have to open the email and figure out why it is flagged, instead you can check the note you left yourself regarding the email and know.

Similar to when you add a note to a cell in excel, the option to add a note to an email would be useful.
The email could then be highlighted/categorised to show that a note has been added.
Would be a great feature to note what is left to action in an email.

virtual post it notes which you can attach to en email, so that when you've read an email but can't action it immediately, at least if you can write a post it with your actions on it, you do not have to read it all over again in future, when you have time, eg. 1) speak to X, 2) get quote, 3) confirm with Y, 4) call back & pay
Often I have similar email headers... for instance when travelling I have Confirmation emails for myself and others for my wife, for car rentals, lodgings and various flights. It would be nice to rename them in big letters such as MY FLIGHT ITINERARY and RENTAL CAR MIAMI.

I'd like to have the ability to flip an email over and jot notes on the back of it, so I know at a glance why it's still sat in my inbox & what I'm waiting on before I can action it. These notes would be private to me and would be removed once I reply to the mail.

Yes yes yes!!! This is exactly what I am wanting right now.
On the screen, where it shows all the emails, I would like an option to right click on an email and select a kind of a “StickyNotes”(like the old “Microsoft clippy”) where I can write a quick note for myself, that helps to know what action was pending or if something needed a follow-up so that I can get back to it when I just scroll or at a glance..

Please please add the ability (or show me how to) add notes to emails. I want to be able to right click / add a sticky note / and have a little icon to indicate there is a not to view. Like what you can do on Excel sheets in cells.
An option to attach notes to an email. Not as a reminder alarm/ follow up, but one you can edit or delete at anytime that only you have the option to see when you click on an email

Add the ability to add a comment or sticky note to a meeting that someone sent you. For example, the ability to add a note that the meeting has moved (when the owner doesn't change it) or a note about something you should bring to the meeting.

In Outlook, add note to email in list to keep track of status or action notes. like done in excel field. I have a lot of "flagged" emails. But I don't know what the status of the issue is. I use these emails as a "to do" list so to speak. For example, I'd add a note to say, "looking up solution for this issue. Need to find vendor for part." Then later, I could update the note or delete the email when done.
