Add Sticky Notes or Notes to emails in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Keep 'open item' emails in my inbox, and while we can categorize them to help them remember what's what, it would be very helpful if we could add a simple note to the Inbox view (i.e. without having to open the email), just saying "with John for review", or "sent to group, awaiting feedback", or "chase by Friday".
Perhaps the 'comment' functionality from Office could work, with just a little speech bubble that opens when hovered over - this would make my life MUCH easier!
Also, it would be good to attach a little sticky note to an email for email works. Also I would like to see visual updates on sticky notes for certain work tasks, adding a sticky not that once you enter a comment it displays it all the time, looking more like a note and a stamp.

When marking an email for follow up, it would be good to add a notes section to the task. Or possibly an attached section which tracks the emails sent in response. Sometimes, email recipients will not reply to emails that have been sent to them for comment. It would be handy to track how many times we have reached out.

Would be great if you could add notes and/or comments to tables embedded in emails in the same way you can in Excel tables.

I would like to see a feature in which you can add a note to a specific folder or message in Outlook. My thoughts are to add the option to the shortcut menu when you right click on the outlook item. After adding the note, when you hover over the folder or message, or click on it, the note appears in a popup bubble or something similar.

The ability to append "sticky notes" should be available for both SENT and INBOX E-mails...multiple "sticky notes" would be even better.

I flag emails when I am waiting on information needed to action them, sometimes there are so many flagged that I can't always remember what info i was waiting for. be great if we could put a sticky note on a flagged email as a reminder.

Similar to the way we assign categorys to emails, it would be nice to add a quick note to an email within the inbox pane.
when a note is added, you'll see a yellow notepad icon next to the email. hover over the icon to read the note.
note reads "waiting for feedback" or something like this?

So if an email came in that I needed to deal with but did not have time, instead of just red flagging it, I could leave a comment on the email header, on LHS where the flag icon is. Then I know there is a comment I have left, reminding me what it is I need to do with email or who I wanted to send it on to.

To keep order in our emails and tasks, etc., we need a simple feutre of small notes possible tied to specific emails.

Unless I am overlooking the option, I think it would be nice to be able to put notes on an email in the list view. The option would be made available in the same area as the flag option. That way we wouldn't have to do reminder action - we could note the email almost like you do in excel with a comment. The note would then be made visible if you hover over or touch the note symbol in on the email.

For any mail received, when we read- we get some ideas on that mail. which shall be posted in that mail so when i open that mail next time, I can see what notes / post i have put in that mail.
Currently we can post in folder but it shall be linked to mail. -

As we all work with Outlook so much i would like a feature to make a note or add a note to a single email. For example i work in the property sector and have to send out jobs all day long. It would be great if i could add a note to alert my recipients about something or a private note just for me that tells me i have sent out a certain plumber or i have logged so many hours dealing with this one job. There are so many reasons i need to take note or add notes to my work and all work these days seems to come to the office via email. Why run a second program when i can just use Outlook for everything.

I have been wanting sticky notes on email messages in the inbox for a long time, glad to see there are many more feeling the same way. Would love to be able to pin a note to an email in my inbox where I can detail what I need to do before the message can be deleted or archived.
Even adding the ability to add a note when adding a flag. Would be so dreamy to just be able to hover over it and see what needs to be done. -

Be able to title/name your new messages in inbox to what ever you decide and or have a function like sticky notes where you can add a note on the new mail, just like categories but you could right click and add note, then when you scroll over the message for more than a second, your sticky note would show up and you could remember what you are doing with that message.

The ability to add a note for a given day would be awesome. This was something that GroupWise calendars permitted, that was one of the few superior features.

Similar to the functionality of Excel cells or Word, this feature would allow users to add notes or comments to their emails through the inbox. When a note is added, a visual indicator in the form of a dog ear would show on the email subject line's left side. Upon clicking the email, the note would show at the top of the email between the subject line and from contact information. The note could also be view by hovering over the subject line within the inbox panel.

When a group mail is received, all recipients and senders can see any notes the recipients of the mail may have made from their end. These notes may be personal (only recipient or sender can see for follow up / tracking) or public (for all to see to collaborate)
When used alongside with categorization and follow ups, the note making capability will be super helpful

Same as how we can add comments to excel boxes. For tracking information still needed or what you are waiting on to continue on with task requested in email. Internal only - wouldn't necessarily be used for everyone within the email. Just a note for yourself as to why you haven't responded or addressed the email yet. It would be a pop-up function and would show when you hover over the specific email.

A lot of emails require multiple actions with time between each. Flagging is good but how about a notes area or possibly even a mini task bar? Maybe a small color coded button with a pop out? Or a dynamically-expanding box under the 'reply, reply all, forward' buttons? I don't know how many times I've looked at a flagged email and had to retrace all of my steps. A note or a checklist would go a long way.

Please introduce an add note/somethign similar to emails where one can add why the email is pending - for example Waiting on Alan to reply before proceeding. Also I receive a lot of scans /pictures - instead of having to open the attachments every time I could rename the email/add a note of what the attachments in it are

Currently, it is not possible to add user-defined fields (Text, Number, Percent, Currency, Yes/No, etc.) to Conversations. One has to go to individual emails within the Conversation, or switch off the "Show as Conversations" option... (For Conversations with only one email, it is not possible to add such meta information...)
