Provide ability to change the name of a file or an attachment within the email.
I'd like to be able to change the name of a file within the email. For example, I often forward invoices straight to my cloud accounting package.
Sometimes you attach a file in your mail but you want to change his name, and you can't.
Please do something so we can change the name of the file attached directly in outlook.
I am disappointed that this post is almost 4 years old. It is a very useful feature in the business world when you don't want the name of the file to strip the file name from sensitive information and don't want to have multiple local copies.

Mozilla's Thunderbird application can have this feature.
I don't want an e-mail attachment's local name to change, but when I add it as an e-mail, I want it to reach the recipient with a different name.
This is not a big problem. I'm curious to see why you haven't added such a feature for years to a large and operating company like you.
When you "save all" attachments in an email to a folder, it would be great to be able to adjust the name of the documents listed in the "Save all attachments" box. It would be particularly useful for version control of the same doc (adding a date) and when saving multiple photo attachments that have a generic number from your phone.
It would be better if we are provided with an option of renaming the attachment after attaching the same, similar kind of option is available in zoho mail.
Other e-mail clients have th feature to change the name of attachement you need to send. Names for files in your filingsystem are mostly not the same than what you would use to send to someone. Also some agencies and companies require to send them files in a certain naming format.
I concur- in addition to not being able to add new files or folders) which is crucial for my work and correspondences, I am unable to do any editing of the folders/files so that they are personalized for better navigation. Please amend this, as it is a feature for most standard online accounts and has been with outlook in the past
