  1. Compose window entry fields for TO and CC are way bigger than text label in latest update to Microsoft Outlook 2016.

The entry fields for TO and CC are taller than the spacing of their labels to the left. This leaves less vertical space for the Subject entry field (both not aligned to its label, as well as narrower than the TO & CC fields), and looks very sloppy. Please revert it to the older format or provide an option to select between the new and old format.

  2. "Join Online" should dismiss the reminder

When you click the "Join Online" Button for a Teams Meeting reminder, please dismiss the reminder.

  3. More color options like the online version has

Would like to see more color options for themes like the online version has. The limited options all look kind of bleak and don't give room for a personal touch.

  4. option to open folder where message is stored

It would be great to have an option to open the folder where the message is stored.
So you open a message and within this message you can click on "see in folder" like on MS File explorer.

This would be particularly useful for search result lists...

  7. Show time of day bar in calendar on today's date

With the latest calendar updates (late May / early June), the calendar now looks like the Teams calendar. There is a time bar with a dot, but they show up on the previous day. this should visually show up on today's date.

  8. Allow resizing of the Reminders popup window.

I want to be able to see more than 8 reminders in 1 screen. I know there is a task page in the outlook client, but it is very convenient to be able to see more reminders in the popup window

  9. Hide unused folders and make them look compact

For example, with "RSS feeds", "search folders", etc., hide those folders while keeping those functions, make the appearance compact and easy to see

  10. "Busy" color in Scheduling Assistant

In the recent version of Outlook which has the "Simplified Ribbon", it appears that the color of the bar representing "Busy" in the calendar Scheduling Assistant screen has been changed. Busy used to be bright blue, whereas Out of Office was a darker color. Now, with the new changes, as a colorblind person I can no longer tell these two apart. They both look like the same exact color. Now I cannot easily tell when someone is busy vs out of office. Please revert the "busy" color back to a lighter color.

  11. Automatically Minimize To Tray On Launch

There should have the option to automatically minimize to tray on launch for Outlook. Most applications have this feature. I feel it is a security risk and also highly disruptive that Outlook pops up on screen whenever it updates while I'm in the middle of coding or trying to have a discussion with a coworker.

  12. Accept/Tentative/Decline Appointment request from within Reading Pane

Add buttons to Accept/Tentative/Decline an Appointment request within the Reading Pane view, instead of having to open the Appointment request to respond.

In Outlook version 1902, this ability does not exist. I am certain that this feature was available in earlier versions of Outlook.

  13. Provide a feature to switch between no ribbon and the classic 3 line ribbon. right not, you can right click to collapse ribbon.

bring back a quick way to switch between no line ribbon (collapsed ribbon) and 3 line ribbon. nobody in their right mind who isn't smoking pot wants that new condensed ribbon.

  14. Add ability to add "Paste and keep text only” shortcut to Quick Access Toolbar

In every other office 365 application except Outlook, there is the option to add "Paste and keep text only” shortcut to Quick Access Toolbar.

Please make this option available in Outlook.

  16. Need 2 features: [spell check toggle on toolbar] and [add all words in selected text to custom dictionary]

Need two features to support people who write technical stuff:

    1. A toolbar toggle for spellcheck to hide the red squiggles when I am pasting a list of server names into an email.

    2. The ability to select a block of text and add all words in it to my custom dictionary.

  17. Automatic Phone Number Detection

WHY DOES MY IDEA KEEP GETTING DELETED?

Allow a user to click any phone number in any email to dial.

Automatically detect phone numbers in plain text emails, and convert them to clickable links (with the TEL: prefix).

Many modern mail applications already utilise this (especially on mobile apps like Gmail to avoid the tedious select, copy, switch app, paste, dial).

Many modern offices utilise SIP phones which can facilitate call requests.

  18. Jump to meeting details from a meeting reponse

Sometimes I need to reschedule a meeting because someone responded to a meeting with "Tentative" or "Decline". Outlook currently provides no way to directly navigate to the corresponding meeting directly from the meeting response e-mail that I received.
It would be a great time saver if I could jump to the meeting directly from that e-mail. Outlook already shows the meeting details (time and location), there could be a button next to it to open the meeting.

  19. User Friendly Ways to Sort Inbox

Why is it we still use email the same way we did 20 years ago? We have an inbox, like a mailbox, that all email comes to but it does not allow us to sort or see things based on criteria we choose. I get hundreds of emails a day, which honestly consumes most my day. What if, there was another way for us to interact with our Inbox rather than just a simple list of which has arrived last? Groupings, Projects, Leads, Family, Friends, etc... To make it less time consuming and more friendly.
