  1. Make it possible to select multiple email headers and right click and select "Mark to Download"

When the setting is to download only headers, currently we need to select each header, right click and select "Mark to Download". Change this to allow select multiple headers with Ctrl+Click and then right click on the selection to mark to download.

  2. Allow the user to set a schedule (or schedule by default at sunrise/sunset) to automatically change them from light to dark modes.

The program should feature the ability to automatically change the theme from light to dark modes depending on a user set schedule or the default time of day (like sunrise/sunset) such as what Apple does in Catalina MacOS and iPhone iOS.

  3. In the reading panel, about the email in addition to the options: reply, reply to everyone, forward - add: new email.

It will facilitate and streamline actions. You will not need to search for the command to send a new email (new subject and different addresses). All options in the same space.

  4. Ability to drag and drop multiple attachments from an email.

Old versions of Outlook you could select multiple attachments in the email and drag them to a folder. Now it forces me to do each one at a time. Even using Ctrl, it always deselects the first file I selected. Inconvenient the way attachments are displayed as opposed to 5+ years ago. Changes for the sake of change are bad changes. Change things to make them easier and more functional. That is my advice. Microsoft is terrible at pointless changes that remove features or makes things harder to find. (And no I will not use the save attachments button, I…

  6. Enable Immersive Reader in Outlook client

Immersive Reader is a cool feature and it is more advanced than the "Read aloud" feature available in Outlook client.
It would be better to have Immersive reader feature available in outlook client too.

  7. The new message pop up window should have a Mark as Read option.

The popup window that appears when new email arrives should have a button for marking the email as read.

  8. Add 'insights' option to the to-do bar.

I would love to see the 'insights' feature made available/permanent via the to-do bar (ibn the View section)

  9. Add custom ribbon option for Paste Text Only

In the list of "All Commands" for customizing the ribbon, there is no option for the subordinate paste command to Paste - Keep Text Only. I would like to make this directly accessible on my ribbon, as I use it very often.

  10. Calendar docked along bottom of Mail (Inbox)

Enable calendar to appear along bottom "Mail" tab. similar to the "scheduling assistant" view you get when booking a meeting with multiple people. This would save screen real estate vs the large "Calendar To-Do" bar, while enabling you to have a quick view of whats upcoming, without needing to go to the Calendar tab.

  11. Need 2 features: [spell check toggle on toolbar] and [add all words in selected text to custom dictionary]

Need two features to support people who write technical stuff:

    1. A toolbar toggle for spellcheck to hide the red squiggles when I am pasting a list of server names into an email.

    2. The ability to select a block of text and add all words in it to my custom dictionary.

  12. Add ability to add "Paste and keep text only” shortcut to Quick Access Toolbar

In every other office 365 application except Outlook, there is the option to add "Paste and keep text only” shortcut to Quick Access Toolbar.

Please make this option available in Outlook.

  13. Sort outlook folders in descending order.

I file emails by job number. If descending order was available the current job numbers would be on top of the folder list and I would not need to scroll to the bottom all the time.

  14. Collapsable Meeting Details

The new outlook update made the meeting details (attendees, time, location, etc) take up over 50% of the screen with no option to collapse it. This means that many cannot see the content of the meeting invite, especially when there is a table or graphic which is being discussed.

  15. Automatically Minimize To Tray On Launch

There should have the option to automatically minimize to tray on launch for Outlook. Most applications have this feature. I feel it is a security risk and also highly disruptive that Outlook pops up on screen whenever it updates while I'm in the middle of coding or trying to have a discussion with a coworker.

  17. Multi column outlook: email and calendar side by side

As ultra-wide screens are becoming more popular, it'd be good that outlook allowed to have the email functionality and the calendar functionality side by side.
Something similar to the to-do tab but the real thing: multiple calendars, add meetings, change meetings,...

  18. allow folders bar to be pinned when not in full screen

The bar on the far left with all of the folders used to be able to be pinned while outlook was half screen or anything less than full screen. That ability is gone. I half screen my outlook every day so I can operate more efficiently and now that is gone. Stop making changes for the sake of aesthetic and keep the functionality there. I'd rather have quick access to my folders and it look slightly less streamlined than this mess.

  19. option to open folder where message is stored

It would be great to have an option to open the folder where the message is stored.
So you open a message and within this message you can click on "see in folder" like on MS File explorer.

This would be particularly useful for search result lists...
