  1. Move the search box in the title bar to the right-hand side so search box doesn't cover over results

The search box in the latest update covers over the list of emails in the search result with the "recent searches" drop-down.

This is horribly inconvenient, and the search box will be better served by being in the right-hand side where it's not in the way.

  2. Compose window entry fields for TO and CC are way bigger than text label in latest update to Microsoft Outlook 2016.

The entry fields for TO and CC are taller than the spacing of their labels to the left. This leaves less vertical space for the Subject entry field (both not aligned to its label, as well as narrower than the TO & CC fields), and looks very sloppy. Please revert it to the older format or provide an option to select between the new and old format.

  3. "Join Online" should dismiss the reminder

When you click the "Join Online" Button for a Teams Meeting reminder, please dismiss the reminder.

  4. Show time of day bar in calendar on today's date

With the latest calendar updates (late May / early June), the calendar now looks like the Teams calendar. There is a time bar with a dot, but they show up on the previous day. this should visually show up on today's date.

  5. More color options like the online version has

Would like to see more color options for themes like the online version has. The limited options all look kind of bleak and don't give room for a personal touch.

  6. Allow resizing of the Reminders popup window.

I want to be able to see more than 8 reminders in 1 screen. I know there is a task page in the outlook client, but it is very convenient to be able to see more reminders in the popup window

  7. Read Aloud features

We should have option to remove selection while reading.

  8. "Busy" color in Scheduling Assistant

In the recent version of Outlook which has the "Simplified Ribbon", it appears that the color of the bar representing "Busy" in the calendar Scheduling Assistant screen has been changed. Busy used to be bright blue, whereas Out of Office was a darker color. Now, with the new changes, as a colorblind person I can no longer tell these two apart. They both look like the same exact color. Now I cannot easily tell when someone is busy vs out of office. Please revert the "busy" color back to a lighter color.

  9. Allow the user to set a schedule (or schedule by default at sunrise/sunset) to automatically change them from light to dark modes.

The program should feature the ability to automatically change the theme from light to dark modes depending on a user set schedule or the default time of day (like sunrise/sunset) such as what Apple does in Catalina MacOS and iPhone iOS.

  10. Enable Immersive Reader in Outlook client

Immersive Reader is a cool feature and it is more advanced than the "Read aloud" feature available in Outlook client.
It would be better to have Immersive reader feature available in outlook client too.

  11. Calendar docked along bottom of Mail (Inbox)

Enable calendar to appear along bottom "Mail" tab. similar to the "scheduling assistant" view you get when booking a meeting with multiple people. This would save screen real estate vs the large "Calendar To-Do" bar, while enabling you to have a quick view of whats upcoming, without needing to go to the Calendar tab.

  12. Hide unused folders and make them look compact

For example, with "RSS feeds", "search folders", etc., hide those folders while keeping those functions, make the appearance compact and easy to see

  13. Add ability to add "Paste and keep text only” shortcut to Quick Access Toolbar

In every other office 365 application except Outlook, there is the option to add "Paste and keep text only” shortcut to Quick Access Toolbar.

Please make this option available in Outlook.

  15. Make the Move feature auto-complete in the Windows client (like the Mac client)

Move | Other Folder... pops what looks like an Office 2003 "Move Items" dialog. There's no way to find a folder expect to navigate all the twisties and remember where you put whatever it is you're looking for. Daunting, high-friction, every time.

On the Mac client, you're dropped into a Search experience. Wildly more usable.

    Please.

  17. In the reading panel, about the email in addition to the options: reply, reply to everyone, forward - add: new email.

It will facilitate and streamline actions. You will not need to search for the command to send a new email (new subject and different addresses). All options in the same space.

  18. Feature suggestion. Enable removing an entry in the 'Recently Used Fonts' list.

In Outlook, when composing a new message, in the Font selection box, I would like to be able to right-click a font in the 'Recently Used Fonts' list and select 'Remove from this list'. In trying out various fonts, the list becomes long and the fonts persist in the list. Having many fonts in the list defeats the purpose of having the one or two fonts that I do use often, be easily accessible.
The same suggestion also applies to Word. To be clear, I’m not suggesting removing the font; I just want to shorten the list.

  19. Automatically Minimize To Tray On Launch

There should have the option to automatically minimize to tray on launch for Outlook. Most applications have this feature. I feel it is a security risk and also highly disruptive that Outlook pops up on screen whenever it updates while I'm in the middle of coding or trying to have a discussion with a coworker.

  20. I would love to see the interactive office assistant back.

Clippy or I really enjoyed the cat. It was a great way to remind me and to check my work. it was easy to notice. I hear so many tones between my computer and my phone that I really need the meow or in clippy case tapping the screen

I have office 16 and would so love to have this back as an add on
