Provide an option to Search Entire Inbox in Microsoft Outlook 2016 or provide option or feature to display results based on ‘last quarter’, ‘this quarter’, ‘last year’, ‘this year’.

Search results normally not showing the PDF , that may contain the search result. Please add that feature too.

After updating Windows the search function in Outlook doesn't work anymore. I'm spending time searching online for a solution which I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO since I paid for this software and it required me to update.

Please consider adding an option to search for items that are marked as expired from a retention policy under the "+ More" search options. The option to search for items that are expiring in a time period are helpful, but I believe it would add even more value to the search to be able to pull up expired items.

Expand search window on click on the search box

Currently Search box is not much of user friendly and its very small window, if the search window is automatically expanded once user clicks on the search box that would be more user friendly and more productivity

Next to field "Search current mailbox", there is enough space. Give an option to create predefined search criteria and save them as quick access buttons next to "Search current mailbox", like mails from boss, mails with attachments, mail from client etc OR allow us to move "Search Folders" to ribbon as drop down option.

Provide the option to set the default search folder or mailbox . Currently the default is "Current Mailbox". I want to set the default to "Current Folder". I don't believe that many users need the default to be "Current Mailbox". You typically want to search a specific folder (e.g. Inbox, Sent, Deleted, or a user defined mail box.

Il serait bien de pouvoir faire une recherche dans "Banque ABC" et une deuxième comme "Déclaration". Il en ressortirait tous les déclarations de cette Banque ABC. J'aurais pu faire trier par À mais s'il y a eu plusieurs personnes dans cette même Banque, ça devient impossible.
DONC plusieurs filtre pour les recherches serait bien.

Search doesn't find the most relevant information and shows emails that do not include the words searched for, this should be changed to allow ease of access.

Provide an option or flag emails withing search results in Microsoft Outlook 2016 and show the result window after search results are refreshed as well.

Make it simple to search Outlook for messages that contain multiple terms including wild cards e.g.
"Microscop" AND "clean"

entered directly in the search box - just the same, simple way that remote access databases such as INSPEC worked 40 years ago.

Outlook 365 does not perform searches on ".pst" files that we have in network drives.

When I search some words like "OT" on the outlook email, it shows all the email and the email including "OT"; it just highlight "OT".

For Example:

Email 1

Email 2 with OT

Email 3 with OT

Email 4

Email 5

Email 6 with OT

It shows all the email

Can the outlook just work simply: only shows the email includes those key words?

In the search tab you have an option to filter the search results by adding filter tabs. Once you add a filter, there is no option to rearrange them. The first inserted filter goes to the bottom of the list. It would be great to have an option to rearrange them.

It would be more efficient if we could search multiple random words to narrow down the search. I would LOVE to see this feature added!

Side note: I apologize if this suggestion is already out there. I searched this page multiple ways, but I did not find it. (The search feature on "this page" isn't very efficient either.) ;)

In inbox view, a double-click on a message opens it in a new window, but not from search results.

Double click should open the message like it did in previous versions of Outlook.

Provide an option of keeping the the selected email in view when we exit the search in Microsoft Outlook 2016.

Have the option to search in specific folders in a custom search

Provide a feature or an option to search for a a contact using the email address in Microsoft Outlook 2016 and enhance it by providing an option to delete it (such as returned mail).
