    Allow business cards to be scanned into Outlook Contacts using a smartphone's camera. If it is possible to use a phone camera to take a shot of a business card, and then for OCR to transfer the contact information into the relevant field's of Outlook's contact cards.

    To show that new messages were delivered to the filtered sub folders. Also to be able to color folders in order to distinguish visually.

  3. marking when a meeting is finished or has started

    I think there should be a way on the calendar to marking when a meeting is finished or has started. Whether it is putting a red line through it, or changing the color to show the status of the meeting.

  4. Provide feature to add recurring meetings with manual multiple dates selection

    It's very tedious to book the time slots in blocks of six months when the meetings aren't set in any pattern like once every week, monthly etc. I need to create separate calendar entries in such cases. Please provide a feature where I choose multiple dates as per my convenience on calendar and simply add them to a list. Lotus Notes offers a similar feature.

  5. Add automatically the salutation in an email.

    It is annoying to write allways the salutation - especially in German mails - . It should come out of a pre-defined field in the contacts.

  6. Allow to create a follow up meeting from an existing meeting. This is a very basic necessity that surprises me it is not available.

    After a meeting, there should be an option to simply create a new date and time using the same information from the previou meeting (participants, room, information, etc.)

  8. Add read/unread bar to all views

    Add read/unread bar on left hand side for all views. Not just compact view. It's nice to see the "columns" row and have the feature to click to mark as read.

  9. show day of week for the appoint in the When field

    When you open a Calendar Invite from my inbox, the day of the week is shown at the top. However this is the day and date that the invite was sent.

    eg: Fri 04/10/2019

    The actual day of the week of the appointment is not shown on the "When" field. It shows just the date.

    eg. When 11 October 2019 Location 5 John Doe St.

    It would be great if the When field showed the day of the week too

    eg. When Fri 11 October 2019 Location 5 John Doe St.

    I have regular commitments that are always on the…

    Add "notes" to the people pane under "meetings". This would be helpful to see what you last discussed per phone conversations.

  11. Allow to create a button for 'User Templates in File System' in ribbon.

    Create a button for "user templates in file system" that we can add to our desired ribbon. At this time you only have Choose Form as a button that can be added to a ribbon.
    Having to navigate to Choose form, then scroll down to finally get the to option of "User Templates in File System" is often resulting in taking more time than actually typing an email when it is a simple, short message. This means people are avoiding using this tool as it is not convenient.

  12. Highligth each months in different colors to seperate months in Outlook 2016

    It would be great if separate months are highlighted in different colors, so that the months could be easily distinguished.

  13. Outlook must provide the ability to allow to accept or decline part of a recurring meeting.

    If a requester has sent a recurring meeting for the entire week and the attendee plans to be attending it just one day a week, there must be a way to indicate that in which case all other instances of that recurring meeting should fall off the calendar.

  15. Please have different notifications for focused inbox and other inbox.

    Allow the user to select a certain sound/notification for the focused inbox and another sound (or no sound) for the other inbox. Will prevent me from stopping my work and checking my email only yo see that I got a general non-urgent email in my other inbox. If I had a chime for my focused inbox and no sound for the other inbox, I could get more work done.

  20. Make categories searchable

    I use Outlook, for both mail, calendar and contacts, often the category labels to bring order. However these are not searchable. It's a powerful feature especially if you use it when searching. It would be nice if there is a box where you can search the category * * * * quickly by typing a few letters, especially if you use many categories.
