  2. Option to send attachments to selected mail addresses in Outlook 2016

Oftentimes when we send huge files as an attachment to people, we need to mark a set of individuals or a group for information purposes alone. Currently Outlook doesn't have a feature of selecting recipients who can receive the files. This feature would be very helpful in reducing network usage and clogging the mailbox considering that most of the corporate mail boxes have a limited size.

  3. Show teammates' OOF days without clogging the top of calendar in Outlook 2016

Show it all in one row and make a new category of events that everyone uses so it lists all people that are OOF in one place, you can hover and see who is OOF (or working from somewhere else) if it is more than a few people. Outlook understands it and hints you if you are setting a meeting with someone who works from somewhere else or is OOF.

  4. Focus on "To:"-Field when creating calendar entries in Outlook 2016

When creating a new calendar entry, We expect Outlook to Focus on the "To:"-Field when I change into the "invite participants" mode. As is, the focus stays in the field it is in on the the original ribbon "tab", but the obvious Action we want to do when clicking "invite participants" is - you guessed it - type a Name and not click into the "To:"-Field first.

  5. don't block shutdown if emptying the "deleted items" folder on exit is on

Please don't block Windows shutdown if the setting to empty the "deleted items" folder on exit is set.

Do select a sensible default instead. Based on how autosave is behaving in other office applications, I'd say go ahead and delete without asking. Alternatively, skip the folder cleanup on shutdown and just exit. Whatever you do, just don't stop the shutdown sequence.

This is one of the most frustrating things in Outlook for me, as this usually happens just as I want to shut down the laptop and rush to the train station (this is also the reason I usually don't…

  7. Make Outlook program multi-threaded

Whenever you're working in a popup window, e.g. settings, all other Outlook windows are frozen. Makes it hard to grab needed text or other info from those other windows.

  8. Do not automatically assign categories to thread

Currently, when I tag a message with a category, every message on the thread thereafter will also be tagged with the category, thus polluting my categories with noise. I use categories to indicate the state or action items of particular messages. Automatically propagating the categories to future messages completely defeats my purpose. Please return to the previous functionality in which tagging a message only tags that one message and no more.

  9. Inconsistent behavior in Outlook and OWA for delegated user to read encrypted email

In Outlook, it allows delegated user to view encrypted email unless sender has selected "Private" or "Do not further forward" in Message Option. However, in OWA, the default setting disallow delegated user to read encrypted email

  10. When creating a meeting from a thread, de-selecting attendees does NOT remove them from the recipient list

When using Scheduling Assistant to set up a meeting, de-selecting / unchecking attendees does not remove them from the To: field of the email. I would expect that not including them in the invite would also mean that they do not get the invite, as the meeting may be intended for a subset of that group.
To remove the un-invitees, they must be deleted from the To: line or removed in Scheduling Assistant, which makes de-selecting them superfluous.

  11. Re-add indicator of latest message in a split-conversation

The indicator for the latest message in a split conversation was removed with Outlook 2013. This makes it hard to navigate conversations. Please add it back. You oversimplified the UI to optimize the visual experience with this, but instead you messed up the User Experience (UX).

  12. When using @mentions, the people already in TO, CC and BCC fields should be at the top of the suggestions list.

When using @mentions, the "Top 30" people list does not suggest people already in TO, CC and BCC fields, unless they happen to be in your overall Top 30. As this email is already to these people, they should be at the top of the suggestions list. Perhaps this should be broken up into 'current email recipients' and then 'Top 30'.

  13. UK address parsing in outlook

Read a UK address properly. (I was at he launch of an early SM mail product in the UK [Andrew Less was PM] where he demonstrated draggin a UK postal address into the contacts and it was parsed. Since then it HAS NEVER worked. The product is unable to make ven a vaugeul sensible attempt at reading a UK address - it fails to see the post (zip) code even which must require almost 0 AI ability.
The fact that you seem to miss is that Uk addresses to do not always require a County (state). When the city (or…

  18. Folder Description of Outlook 2016

Folder descriptions can be configured in Outlook. It would be helpful if moving the cursor over the folder would show the description of the folder. This way folder names can stay short but it is easier to identify what emails should be moved to the corresponding folders.
