Allow mark as unread while still reading, show correct read/unread state
If I get a new mail, look at it quickly, and them move off of it, then it is marked as "read." I know this will happen, and since I have not really "read" the email, I want to leave it marked as unread. There's no way to do this. Instead, I have to move the cursor off the email and then go back to it to mark it as unread.
Marking as unread while you're reading is a feature found in other email clients eg. gmail.
Also, when you're reading the email for the first time, its title in…

Please provide the unread email count badges on taskbar. It is so useful to know what drops in our mailbox while working on different window
Please provide the unread email count badges on taskbar. It is so useful to know what drops in our mailbox while working on different task in different window. It will save 30 second to 1 minute. You can imagine how powerful feature would be and there is no doubt that a lot of resource hours ( No of current users * 60 Seconds = x number of hours ) can be saved adding this feature.

Insert availability
Usually, I have to coordinate availability of internal associates with consultants who do not have access to our O365 tenant.
It would be nice if there was a way to insert availability via the Insert tab for a specific day which lets me key the users whos calendar we are working with.
This way, the recipient can simply create an appointment or meeting and send back quickly.

Email Account Name that is NOT Microsoft Account Name
I use a family name for my Microsoft Account, but want to use my personal name for my Outlook 365 email account. This is not possible right now, so it would need a software change - new feature.

Deleting myself from a mail trail completely without using Ignore
I will like to be able to delete myself from an email trail in outlook (just like i can remove myself from a WhatsApp group) sometimes you get copied by mistake in mails that are not relevant to you and you keep seeing the mail as people respond, i will like to be able to remove myself from the mail trail completely (not just with ignore feature which still goes to my deleted folder)

Reading mode to hide headers and show only the message full-screen
Current problem (Outlook 2019) is that in the message Reading Pane, the header area (with To, From, Subject, Date, Attachment, and "You Replied" info) takes up one-quarter to one-third of the vertical space of my laptop screen, even when "minimized".
Provide a quick-access view mode that fills my entire screen (or a new resizable / maximizable window) with only the message content, so that I can view the message with the maximum height allowed by my screen.

Detect and warn user if e-mail may be going to the wrong recipient.
Scan message for recipient's name ("Dear Name," or "Name,") and compare vs. the e-mail address(es) that are set to be sent to. It would be nice if Outlook could somehow warn you if it thinks you are about to send a message to the wrong person.

Enable Custom Desktop notifications for sepecific folders
We would like a way to be able to customize desktop notifications. It would be helpful to designate which folders in your account you would like a notification for.
Example: we get hundreds of emails a day between the email group for the department, it would be helpful to only receive desktop notifications for emails sent directly to me as opposed to emails we are sent in a group.3 votes -

Embed Office Form in the Outlook E-mail
Embed Office Form in the Outlook E-mail so that when users receive the e-mail, they will not have a second thought to click on the survey link, they will already see that there are only a few and easy-to-answer questions in the survey through the body of the e-mail, and answer it right away because the embedded form is interactive already.
Advantage: Prevent users from parking the survey then forget that it's there because of the low priority. Presenters can get enough feedbacks through the survey.
