  1. Category list needs to be easier to view/access without using a pop-up box

The menu displays all category list options in OWA and on the Mac app, but not in Windows/desktop app. Why?! I hate opening up a pop-up box to scroll down and select a category. The list needs to be available in the menu, and it should be searchable. It's like you see the benefit in two interfaces but not in the third one. Makes no sense.

  2. Enable a user to import or export a custom forms and not just a template in Microsoft Outlook 2016

Custom forms allow organizations to customize the data collected by users when scheduling appointments or generating and sending messages. Outllok currently saves these forms in the users .dat file and does not allow for import and exporting of the forms, Administrators who want to use a custom form need to recerwat it for each user creating a consistency issue.
By allowing import and export administrators could design forms that organizations could use to capture specific data when necessary steamlining their communication when needed forspecific messages and meetings.

  3. Enable NFC beaming to open email on Outlook

NFC beaming should enable users using Outlook app on their phones to open the same email on their Office Outlook application on their PC device seamlessly. This can be particularly useful for professionals reading an email on their phones to seamlessly display the same email on their PCs when they hold their phones at the NFC receivers on the PC. It would become a popular timesaver feature.

  4. Please add scanning printed receipts features.

Add an app in O365 now that you've added scanning of receipts to the mobile version of Outlook that can store and categorize receipts (like Expensify or ReceiptBank) for tax or office expense reports.

  5. Hierarchical, Nested Favorites Pane

When using Favorites feature to link to mostly used folders and subfolders, the favorites list is just a plain list, lacking of two main features:
    - Ability to show favorite's folder subfolders (already suggested).
    - Ability to create nested favorites hierarchies, just like we do with browser's favorites/bookmarks.

For example, today I use a "parent categories" for favorite project-related folders, favorite work DLs, favorite RSS feeds, favorite admin-related folders, etc.

Those "parent categories" are actual folders in my inbox, named "---Work Favorites ----------", "---Admin Favorites ----------", "---DL Favorites ---------", etc. that are not collapsible when not interested in my current…

  7. Provide a feature of Colored marking for Full-Time Events/All Day Dates in task strip in Microsoft Outlook 2016

Until Outlook 2010 you could set a (colored) category to dates/events which was showing colored in task strip whether the date/event was full time or not. Outlook 2016/2019 doesn't show the events/dates colored in task strip if these aren't full time. These events are shown in grey only. So my workaround until now is to set the full-time events from 0:00-23:59 going. That's very irritating. Please fix this and give the opportunity to show full time events colored again in task strip area!!!!

  9. Add a button for 'About' to the help menu.

Some engineer allowed a UI manager to remove the About item from the help menu in some current version of Outlook. [I can't tell which version because the About option has been removed.]
This engineer (and their manager) need to be take on onto an nearby quad and publicly flogged, as an example to other teams that might break longstanding UI conventions.

  11. Show meeting history report in past Skype for Biz meetings in Outlook

When viewing a Skype for Business meeting request e-mail or the meeting itself in Outlook, it would be great if you could get some historical report on that meeting.

    e.g.

    • Meeting started at: ....

    • Meeting ended at: .... (60 mins total)

    • Attendees included:

      • John doe (34 mins)

      • Jane doe (49 mins)

      • Martin Lawrence (48 mins)

      • Bob Stakeholder (60 mins)

    Maybe even some stats:

    • Meeting primarily led by: Bob Stakeholder

    • Loudest participant: Martin Lawrence

  14. Keep print preview in the foreground when printing

When you use File > Print to print items, the print preview window may shift to the background, This causes confusion because users may not realize the print preview window is still there in the background.

To workaround this issue you can minimize the main Outlook window to bring the print preview dialog back to the foreground. The request is for Outlook and Windows to make a change to always keep the print preview in the foreground when printing.

  15. Display contact folder in open contact item - and same for tasks and appointments

In an open contact item, clearly display the folder the item is located in.
Same for open task, note and appointment item.
For a new item, allow the contact folder (or task folder/appointment folder) to be chosen inside the item before it is saved

  18. Provide a feature to warn user if there are more than n number of people in the to/cc/bcc (combined)

If a user accidentally replies whole list of groups which he wouldn't know until he/she reviews how many and who all were included in the each group, it will cause lot of spam. To avoid that, it is better to warn user or pop-up or something like that when a user is replying or sending an email to more than 100 people .. by default and an option to change that warning limit, for ones who usually send whole organization wide emails.

  19. Remove notification from Action Center after status no longer current.

Notifications should automatically be removed from the Action Center once the state of the notification is no longer current. For example, for "new mail" notifications, once the mail has been read in Outlook, the notification should automatically be removed. Currently the user has to manually clear the notification.

  20. Add a Block button and avoid any message to be send send

Add a button to block and avoid messages mails to be send while the option is active, if for example I'm not so far away from my desk but I want to keep my information and mails secure or even avoid important mails to be send by mistake and that can not be send unless I unblock the option of sending mails
