Offer choice re: ribbon icons
I opened Outlook acct & icons on ribbon changed. Offer option to use old icons/ opt-in or out choice when making such changes
I agree with the things written here: the icons changed without asking, and they are UGLY as ****. Fire those UI designers and decision makers who came up with this idea and/or action. The preview icon for example does not look like you are about to choose for a preview, but rather printig. Give us back color and not these decayed, lifeless things in the ribbon. This actually makes me HATE office 365 !

My currently Outlook UI, changed without warning, is pale-to-virtually colorless, and it is counter-intuitive. The See **** Run graphics are bland, uninviting, often times confusing and, to me, all but useless. It's not an issue of learning something new. Upgrading is part of computing life. It's an issue of learning something that slows productivity. Totally retrograde.

New icons are HORRIBLE. I lost color for some of my quick action icons and now the ribbon shows LESS information than before. The look and functionality is awful on both accounts.

The new icons are harder for me to see, especially in the (needlessly overhauled) low-contrast UI. The icons need to be BOLDER, not necessarily BIGGER (the "replied" icon in the status column of the message list is HUGE). The lines are so thin.
In general you are not helping anyone if you do not offer choices. I'm sure some people will like these icons; but eventually they'll be just as frustrated as I am now when you come up with yet another set of icons and take these away.
I see Uservoice has refused this suggestion because of some business request to have the same look on all devices. Thank god you don't have Office on a watch or it would look even worse. At home, this change is a major reason not to consider upgrading my home version 2016 to 365. At the office I have no way to revert because my PC is a business PC managed by my company.
The new icons are really confusing and change really annoying. I doubt that it was requested by my company considering that they only made the update now....6 months after.
The Icons change overnight and want the old ones back. These are TOO BIG ugly colorless pencil figures which are HARD to read on White backgrounds.
Please discard all your developers because they just force more ugly useless garbage on us. We do not sit in dark rooms or have UNLIMITED screen size. This takes up over 1/4 of the screen . Bring back the colored smaller envelopes, bold x ? check marks. The Ribbons should be much smaller readable.
Bring back outlook 2010 or 2016 this new idea is horrible GIVE US A CHOICE

Theses icons are just awful…lt's like Windows 3.11 icons style
I'm in charge of the Desktop. We are on the Semi-Annual Channel and my end users received the 1902 version (they had 1803 one before). I have a lot of bad feedbacks about the new ribbon icons, harder to see. What is for except generate a lot of emails to IT and bad experience for my end users ? What can I say to my end-users as I have no more power ? "It's the Cloud ! It's Microsoft who chooses the way you work and what you must feel comfortable or not." ? Or, "we have the apologies of Microsoft for this bad experience, they will make a quick feature update for 1902 end after to let us the choice of the best comfortable interface" ?
I would add that during our short test period, we didn't consider this feedback as critical, thinking that we have no chance to see a fix, but I'm tired to listen or read only this feedback, with users asking if a way to change exists.
So I vote to the choice.
