Send to OneNote - should work with Public Folders
The new Send to OneNote feature, that includes the automatic creation of a "Link to the Outlook Item, is a fantastic addition.
However, the link will presumably only work for the original email recipient.
We use the very efficient and powerful and never-to-be-lost Public Folders, for all our project emails so that everyone in the team can see the relevant emails without multiple copies having to be sent around (and many other advantages) etc., but the new Send to OneNote apparently does not work on Public Folder stored emails. What a pain.
The combination of this automated hyperlink and linking from Public Folders would be a significant development of this unexpected, but welcome addition to Outlook.
Outlink obviously knows the address of the Public Folder stored email, why can this information not be stored as the automated hyperlink in OneNote.
Please add in this functionality.
