I am talking about opened email in fullscreen.
I agree, there is a space for Email Title (Subject) - then there is a plenty of unused space at the right side from the Subject. Under the subject there is are names of recipients, if there is one or few units - another unused space. At the most right side there are Reply,... buttons which are large, too large. Another thing - attachments. If there is certain amount of attachments, there is unused space again.
To solve this I can imagine two options:
1. There could be a button, similar one which is at the ribbon right lower corner - small arrow allowing to hide/unhide the ribbon (or enlarge/reduce).
2. Dynamic Information panel, use the middle unused space for Subject, Recipients, Buttons, everything next to each other to compress the space to enable to have bigger space for email message itself.
adding white space in the To: Cc: and Bcc: areas effectively decreases screen space in the other parts of emails when composing.
and making the icons bigger - same problem. Simplify the icons = yes. Enlarge them = no.
And I'm not seeing an option to switch back to the Classic.
Agree with this. My usable space is reduced in favour of large icons and unusable space.

The "arrange by" stuff above the inbox in redundant (just click on the column headers). Only 1 line is necessary, for the search box. All of that empty area is wasted screen space. You may have huge 4k monitors, but not all of us do. We need the real estate for actual stuff.
