I'd love to be able to add notes for myself to emails when I file them. Something that would not forward if I reply later.
Something like sticky note that you could attach to an email, but would not forward with the email when you reply. (for user's eyes only).
Would be especially helpful if I could attach relevant files when filing emails (w/o sending a new email) or attach/connect other email chains so I could easily keep all relevant information together.
I would love this option myself. I've searched for this in the past with no result so I have to go through the process to edit the email to add a "note" but I have to make sure that if I forward, reply, save, and/or print, that I remove the note I added.

I've been wanting this for years! Matthew, yes! To "add note" to where you can remind yourself why it's still sitting in your inbox, but don't have to worry about your edits going onto the next receiver.

Me to. If we can hover the mouse pointer over the email and it has a small pop up note that we've right click "add note" done earlier. Is Microsoft reading these suggestions?
I agree that this is a really important requirement that should be added to Outlook. I often find myself wanting to write myself a note about an email, i.e. just for myself, and not wanting any of the recipients to see it.
