Outlook application password when using 2FA
I have noticed that Outlook 365 app does not tell a user who uses 2 step authentication on the Outlook.com to get and provide the application password and not a password of the account the user tries to add to the Outlook 365 app.
It took me two weeks to guess this. Please add some prechecking then adding accounts having such 2FA or at least give o pop up letting the user to know that if 2FA is being used, a password not from a web login has to be provided.

Just adding to this to say 2FA / MFA support in outlook is terrible.
When enabling it you have no idea of the behaviour that will follow.
Sometime MFA kicks in, sometimes you need to use app password.
Sometimes you need to clear credentials, sometimes it just flat out breaks and you have to ditch the profile and start again.
It's ain't no google apps experience to say the least.

Heck, why not just get with the 2000s and support 2FA logins for IMAP sites that use 2FA. You know, like, uhh, Micrsoft's own Outlook.com and Gmail.com?

Adding my MSN.COM email account to Outlook 2016 is painful. Every time I reinstall or setup a new computer I forget that Outlook 2016 doesn't support live.com accounts with 2FA setup, so I waste a ton of time trying to sign in and then eventually remember and go setup an app password.
It would be so much easier if you supported 2FA for live.com accounts like you do for online exchange accounts.
