Calendar - colour in whole day what adding an all day item
In pervious versions when you had an all day appointment and marked it out of the office, it automatically coloured in the whole day - under this version it no longer does this - why not? This was very handy when scanning through the diary as you could easily see which days you were not available etc
What an absolute pain the *** losing this feature! Who's bright idea was this? Apparently it is supposed to be tinted but there is absolutely no contrast at all. Was there any consideration for people with eye conditions? Bring back all day colour blocking so that you can look at your own calendar and know when you are in/out of office more easily

I have a community calender and would like to colour a whole day on the calendar. I would like to colour the school holiday days so that you can see which time of the year the town will be quiet due to the school holidays. It will help to easy detect when we should not plan fundraising events
Totally agree with this suggestion. The only way to make it kind of like it used to be is to make the "Theme" black. Then the all day event is highlighted but the rest of the calendar is UGLY.
This was also incredibly handy for anyone else in your team who needed to view your calendar. The new way of just having it at the top is asking for it to be missed.
When you have a whole-day event or mark a day as out-of-office, there is only this small coloring in the day-row instead of coloring the whole day column in that color. Currently you can easily overlook a daily event!
Please mark the whole day in dark-blue or violet instead of only the small event on top - or make this configurable.

Absolutely, the new shading is too light and only having a heavily shaded bar a the top of the day is confusing.

I agree with this. The Colouring for the 'Show as' options are too light in 2016 and cannot be seen easily. Please change back to the darker colours as in previous versions.

Is this the same as showing yourself as busy or available? If you select show as busy, then the entire day is highlighted in the calendar. If you show as free, then it is not. Or are you asking for it to highlight in your calendar but show as free to others?
