Provide a feature to Customize Account Names for email accounts configured in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Provide a feature to Customize Account Names for email accounts configured in Microsoft Outlook 2016 maintaining case as well as re-arrange their order in navigation pane. similar to Windows 10 Mail app. Also It would be helpful for those who are visual to have the option to change the background color of each mailbox, (Inbox, Sent, and Trash), to avoid confusion when quickly navigating between them.

My company it using office 365 and after a company merger, we're going through a transition of email domains. This means that we have two mailboxes now with the exact same emails coming through on both. when trying to sort out and organize my mailboxes, it's quite difficult to do it in an efficient manner. The email addresses are always composed of first_name.last_name@domain.com. Due to being unable to rename account, every time I want to move an email to another folder, when clicking in the Move dropdown menu, all I can see is the folder name and then the first_name.last_name combination but unable to see the domain as the menu isn't wide enough to display the entire length of the email address.

Did another unexpected update just push out? now all my email accounts in outlook show the email address instead of the display name i had previously given. (the account settings say display name "Gmail" for example and on the Favorites and account list I am seeing the full jonsmith@gmail.com which i dont want

Was a feature in older version of Outlook, why break it?

I've migrated from one email provider to Outlook.com, but I can't change the mailbox name in Outlook. This is patently absurd!

Using Outlook on Office 365 for business purpose. How unprofessional for my customers to see my name, rather than my business mail address - please add this feature!

this is a basic requirement. i cannot believe that 2 years on and we still only have 522 votes. there was a workaround using MFCMAPI but even that does not work now. Please allow change to mailbox display name now!!

Allow the mailbox name to be changed or have it automatically change when the Primary Email address of the user changes.

Obviously this needs to be added again.

Please add this back! My emails all begin with aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb@[c,d,e,f].com. I cannot tell the difference in them unless I move the navigation pane over so as to see the email domain name! Need this option!!!!

WHY would you remove the option to give my Inbox/account a "friendly name" rather than display my entire email address in Outlook? Please... return that option. It is absurd that anyone thought removing that feature would be an improvement.

HI..please enable account rename feature in outlook 365. This is required, so that we can use more than 2 exchange emails for different companies and don't want to show the email address of other company..thanks

Why have Microsoft taken away this simple, convenient feature that is very useful to identify Exchange accounts when you have several? it still works for IMAP accounts in Office 365 Build 1909.
Please put it back! Thank you

This is an annoying problem for Systems Administrators. I was previously able to use MFC MAPI to fix the incorrect name in Outlook from a 365 account (for some reason it DOES NOT match the users name in Office 365 admin console NOR 365 exchange console).
Now it rapidly "blinks" back and forth between the incorrect name and the one that previously was corrected using MFC MAPI.
Microsoft - ALLOW YOUR PARTNERS/SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATORS THE ACCESS THEY PREVIOUSLY HAD, SO THAT WE CAN FIX RANDOM OFFICE 365 GLITCHES AND KEEP YOUR CUSTOMERS HAPPY FOR YOU!

Throw my voice into the mix. Just make it possible. No need to do anything more than allow it to change. We don't need a button, or menu, or anything else. Just let us change it. The registry? Fine. Outlook's Options, or in the Profiles. We don't care. Just open it up. Gracias.
