Provide a feature to Customize Account Names for email accounts configured in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Provide a feature to Customize Account Names for email accounts configured in Microsoft Outlook 2016 maintaining case as well as re-arrange their order in navigation pane. similar to Windows 10 Mail app. Also It would be helpful for those who are visual to have the option to change the background color of each mailbox, (Inbox, Sent, and Trash), to avoid confusion when quickly navigating between them.

This feature, previously available other ways, is needed. With this it is very difficult for end users to differentiate between their email accounts. If we want to 'do secret' i.e. have IT be just hocus pocus, leave it as it is. If we want to make our computers easier to use, we need this change. Remember, our users pay our bills.

Used to be able to change this with MFCMAPI, and while this is still possible it reverts back every few days. Please give us the option to customize account names!

So annoying that this is still not implemented after such a long time. We really need this, everything is is not professional.

Please add this feature as there are people with lengthy first and/or last names like me, and there is not so comfortable to deal with such display names. Thanks!

I don't understand why this feature isn't built into Outlook 2016 but I'm sure there are many people like myself who have multiple Exchange accounts and being able to rename accounts to a shortened and purposeful name would be helpful. Can't imagine why this could be hard to implement especially since I can rename non-Microsoft accounts.

I work a lot on a laptop. I like the fact I was able IN THE PAST to change the account names to my liking (which is way shorter than my email addresses). Why can't you give us that feature return (I refer to Exchange servers specifically). Even the MFCMAPI Method is a realtively easy way to change the account names. If you want to be customer focused, you must allow users to change account names in their Outlook 2016/365 and beyond.

Why has this feature be removed? I have a office 365 account and this is my displayed account name (some characters changed for privacy reasons):
outlook_F3C4AE13CD85E35X@outlook.com
Are you serious???? -

Why does this feature keep disappearing? This make no sense, it is like going backwards. Provide a feature to Customize Account Names for email accounts configured in Microsoft Outlook

I don't understand why this feature isn't built into Outlook in the first place. I'm sure there are many others like myself that manage a number of Exchange accounts (6, for me) and being able to give each account a short, unique and description name would be helpful. Can't imagine it would be that hard to implement.

For me this is a showstopper.
I need my e-mail account to have another name (as it was)
Of today I will not use Outlook for e-mail anymore. -

Please, let us name the e-mail accounts the way WE WANT. IT's extremely annoying to try to differentiate between different e-mail accounts having to read the whole e-mail address.

If this feature could be implemented, it would greatly improve the end-user Outlook experience and save some headaches for Office 365 Admins.

This Outlook account name problem pops up for every company anytime a person has a name change (typically due to marriage, divorce etc)
This inability to change the account name also becomes extremely problematic if you are changing the primary SMTP and UPN for an entire organization.
