Do not allow someone to include you when setting up a meeting request when calendar which is marked as "Out of Office" -OR- add a new label for "Vacation/PTO" and use this suggested feature on that label only.
This will show that you really are unavailable for said meeting without the awkward exchange.
Would be very helpful for huge corporations.

Automate replies based on status set in Calendar. For example, if status shows "Out Of Office" have a response automated during this time.

It would be easy to simply have a default message like "I am unavailable between X and Y on Z" based on the calendar entry. And you could click a check box and it would insert the calendar entry name as a variable like "I am unavailable due to $eventname between $starttime and $endtime on $date". This would be a great feature.

We need the ability to craft an "Out of Office" message directly on the calendar event where I have defined "show as" as "Out of Office". This will help maintain "Out of Office" messages based on the event duration versus duplicating the date and time setup in the "Out of Office" setting.
The ability to have a default "Out of Office" message during these events also would minimize the need for having to maintain it all the time or have to set it. So, if I do not maintain a message, during this period, Outlook should respond automatically with a basic response or use the response crafted on the event (as requested above)
This is just a more intuitive way to use the data that is already present. I hope others agree.
I could be "Out of the Office" for a week with international travel days where email response is non-existent and this capability would allow me to put that on the event itself and at the same time, I can set up the days between with a message that is more reflective of my response capabilities.
Maybe it's just me who likes to tailor messages based on true availability when "Out of the Office."

There should be a way that when a user sets their calendar event to out of office to be able to configure an out of office auto-reply. That way a user doesn't need to go and actually set out of office response as well.

- Option to create and store various Templates of OoO responses (for in company/out of company senders).
- Option to choose one from these templates (and modify to that specific calendar event) while creating calendar event.
- Option to create new OoO response from scratch while creating Calendar input.
- Option to Copy existing Calendar event (and modify). -

I just created an all day appointment and assumed this was an option only to be bitterly disappointed. How is this not a feature...right click on the appointment and select "Choose\ADD Out of Office Message"

This would be extremely helpful! I am off every other Friday. Having the ability to associate and Automatic Reply with and Out of Office calendar entry would mean I could set it up once and forget it. Please consider adding this to your next release.

This would be extremally useful as we many staff that regularly forget to turn on their Out Of Office reply and I as admin then have to do this for them. Please add this feature.

This would be immensely helpful for team meeting management if someone were sick rather than me having to search through their calendar and reply individually to each.

This would be a great enhancement with minimal coding. At present only 1 OOO can be set up at a time, but if you were to set full day meetings and holidays up with the OOO being set as an option, forgetting to do so would be eliminated.
This does also need the date of return automatically inserted in the OOO message. -
