Provide a way to set the default flag color in flag status and bring back multi color follow up flags.
For those of us that are color blind, the dull red flag in Outlook 2013 is not much different from the gray and is very hard to see, so provide a way to set the default flag color in flag status
Also, bring back multi color follow up flags.

Colour code the flags you apply to messages that you need to get back to by importance or category, so you can easily see what needs to be done first
In addition to making multiple flag colors available as the default, for accessibility for the many people who are colorblind (the same principle applies for categories, multiple flag colors would make it easier for an intitial sort of large numbers of emails, e.g.: Emergency, vs. Immediate, vs. Next Week, vs. Interesting, vs. To Read At My Leisure, etc.
I would like the ability to have more flag options. If I could customize the flags it would be as follows: +2 days, +3 days, +4 days, +5 days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months.
Provide a feature where I can customise the color of the flag, customise its name "Follow Up", "Action", "Call", etc. and customise the highlight colour.
Some of my flags are emails I've read but have yet to reply to, others are emails I have sent and need to follow up on in case the person I sent it to isn't responding. Other times I want to flag an email as interesting, or reading to do when I have more free time. I also have emails from different projects, so It'd be great to see the, for example, Blue flags and red flags relate to different projects.
Also, can we have different icons instead of just flags? How about a Phone icon (Flagged to call), Lighting bolt (to action), book (to re-read), sun, lightbulb, etc.

Please make it possible to have green flags in the Outlook task function that then turn red when that task is overdue.
The all red and slightly red flags just pushed out in your latest update makes the Outlook task function much less useful to me.
It is a good idea to flag a meeting or any appointment in different colours, according to the status of it For instance: realized, postponed, anticipated, cancelled, etc.
Oh just sauu (sorry my UU key is not uuorking. . .!) but bring back the multi color flag options. Such a great scheduling tool. . . .simple too.
Also - in calendar, can you create option to color block so that the user looking at a uueek's schedule, can see all ORANGE appts (e.g. only) is for uuork; BLUE appts is personal, etc. (sort of like a highlighter)

remove the yellow background or provide an option to change color in flag

I would like to be able to assign different colors to follow up flags. And, the flag colors should be independent of the category colors.

In older versions of Outlook (2003?) you could right-click and selected a flag color. Flag colors were mutually exclusive (unlike categories) and ordinal (ROYGBP). You could sort your Inbox by flag color and you could individually toggle the collapse/expand of each color. This gave you efficient control over your active emails without requiring you to remove them from your Inbox, or to switch between folders. You could easily see some or all of your inbox with just a click or two. All of that was awesome and should be available in current versions -- add features, don't remove them!

Add the ability to pick/change color of each flag choice. Just as you can with Categories. Need more color options that what Categories now offers.
FYI, this is looking a lot better in version 1808: hollow flag vs filled-in red flag, should work for color blind too.
HOW TO: make entire line colored and more visible, not just flag (not a fix, but helps):
Goto: View -> view settings -> conditional formatting
click add -> click condition -> click more choices
click "only items which:" and choose "are flagged by me"
click ok -> click font -> choose bold and red (or whatever works for you)
This make the whole row more visible.
option for flagged emails to NOT be highlighted yellow (e.g., option to have NO color or to choose own color)

When flagging a message in outlook, it defaults to yellow. I would really appreciate the option to choose at least three colors for organizing capabilities.
I so agree. Was great when they were colour-coded according to urgency. Now I can't tell one from another.
Flags now useless. No contrast between flagged and unflagged; looks like everything is flagged.
Great comment below about dark grey vs. dirty red.
Bring back coloured flags!!!!!!
