Option to customize daily work hours in Calendar in Microsoft Outlook 2016
Provide an option to customize daily work hours in the calendar in Microsoft Outlook 2016. Everyone have different working or office timings. It is odd to think that Microsoft Outlook 2016 forces you to use the same work hours as provided in the Microsoft Outlook 2016. Also Calendar should have workday option for scheduling meetings. There is no option currently to set recurring meetings on a specific workday.
This post is from 2016 and still it isn't available in Outlook. Google has this available for years now. I like myanalytics from microsoft but I am not working every day for the full 9 hours. So analytics wants to focus me more outside my working hours.

Please support people that work 12+ hour shifts that span past midnight. Please support people on compressed work week schedules that have a rotation day (for example: work every Sunday - Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays).

I would like to have options to color shade and set headers to certain blocks of time similar to what is actually done with work hours non-works hours but with own control so to say. These hours are without blocking calendar. Like personal guidelines for activities in the background of days. Configurable per day and recurring week/days/time

How its possible that after 8 Office Versions, and Jobs evolution over time, this simply -one day of one develover work- its not been implemented yet?
This seems like a really easy and obvious update. Please fix

My work schedule is 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM on every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, and every other Saturday night with lunches occurring from 11:45 PM until 12:30 AM except if I work on Saturday my lunch is from 11:45 PM until 1 AM. Outlook really needs a HIGHLY customizable work schedule. As has been mentioned several times here, WE ARE NOT ALL 9 TO 5ers HERE!!! Please fix this in the NEXT ROLLOUT.

please customize this, we are not all 9 -5ers every day.
How is irregular work schedule not an option, big oversight.. We need flexible tools to plan our days. Please change this.

Outlook not allowing users to select different working hours for diferrent days. it is long pending feature with outlook to implement
I would like the option to set work hours variable by day.

It should be possible to enter my working time per day. And preferably with a break (so two blocks) per day. So that other people can see on which days you can be booked for which times. And automatic meeting assumptions are only processed within these times.
Monday 07:00 - 12:00 and 12:00 - 15:00
Tuesday 07:00 - 12:00 and 12:00 - 15:00
Wednesday 12:00 - 17:00
Thursday 11:00 - 14:00 and 15:00 - 20:00
Friday 08:00 - 15:00
yes this kinda odd that we cant custom each day. Jobs in IT are not your typical work week. Microsoft should know this?? do you not use your own products in your business?

If someone starts work at 4pm and leaves at 8am, and they try to tell MS-Outlook that, the error-message is "The end date you entered occurs before the start date". Well, know it doesn't, and it's not a date. It's a time. And no time, SEVERED from a date, occurs before or after any other time. Which is earlier? 9am or 9pm? It's impossible to say, unless you know the DAYS that the 9am and 9pm occur on.
I agree with the previous comments. We are living in 2019...
I agree with all of the previous comments highlighting the need to set different working hours for individual days. Amazed that this has not been introduced given the rise of agile/flexible/job share and other working practices. Please look at urgently

Hi, this is very upsetting for those who are working in shifts and need to change this setting every week or sometimes on daily basis. Please enable changes either in the Options or through Object Model using VBA for Outlook. Thanks
allow for multiple days to have different schedules. I know I'm not the only employee with a "Late day", yet it can' t be shown in the schedule...thanks.
It would be beneficial for staff to be able to set the actual hours they work each day Outlook Calendar as many work different hours each day and it would be helpful to co-workers to be able to see that and set meetings accordingly, instead of having to put in private meetings to block out time.
This would be especially helpful as society moves more towards flex working, remote working and there has always been shift work, so variable work hours feels like a fairly basic feature that should be available otherwise there is little point putting in our work hours at all.
Hey developers, it seems that massive amount of people are looking for working overnight with Outlook calendar and set up start at pm time and finish am time. nothing has changed for the last 20 years or more.....when are we going to have a calendar that we can manage the way we want ? so many good ideas have been suggested when I read the comments ...I am sure you are aware of them !
Thank you for your prompt reply!
