  1. Trigger an action when an event is due.

When a user sets up a reminder in Outlook, there should be an option to do an action automatically instead of a message popping up on the screen. For example, if I want to print a certain documents on a particular date and time and if I set up a reminder and a link to that document, the document (s) should open up automatically and warn that it's about to print that document. This should be optional. This will facilitate an Outlook user to create a link say, for invoices due for payments, air tickets / hotel booking vouchers printing…

  2. "Low bandwidth" mode

Create a mode for situations where you have low bandwidth (in-flight and public Wi-Fi, for example) so the application doesn't become unresponsive by trying to sync shared calendars, index searches etc.

  4. Support cache all for large mailboxes

I would like the option of caching more data. Now that the E3 size is increased to 100GB the local ost is still supposed to be kept below 10GB (kb2759052). I would like this flat file architecture to be replaced with something that can support a large offline cache if users want it.

  5. "Trying to connect..." :-(

Outlook printing "Trying to connect..." in the status bar is soooo depressing. "Connecting..." is better.

  6. Hotkeys should work for different language in Outlook 2016

When answering an e-mail, the hotkeys displayed in the tool tip for italic, bold etc. do not work in German Outlook 2016 on German Windows 7 but trigger some other Outlook functionality, e.g. open the search dialogue.

Provide an option to Jump to "Today" in Calendar using keyboard shortcuts' because this is about making displayed hotkey work, the other about introducing a completely new hotkey.

  8. Microsoft Outlook 2016 Apps with right-side banner for corporate communication

There are applications available which offer Windows Screen Saver for showing Corporate Communication messages. Controlled from centralized machine, the system would download executable file, download content, install Apps inside client workstation and modify its registry. Once the computer is idle, the Apps would initiate the Screen Saver and shows Corporate Communication contents.

As the ratio of the laptop screen is getting wider and becomes 16:9 ratio, there might be a place to put those Corporate Communication messages as banner on the right-side of the screen. Hence, outlook 2010 Apps can have this banner and Microsoft can add this feature for…

  9. Provide different GPO settings for the default account and added accounts

We already have GPOs to enable caching in Outlook but these settings are valid for all accounts added. It would make sense to have distinct settings for the default account where I would e.g. cache items for 24 month but for all other accounts maybe only 3 to 12 months for performance reasons regarding OST files.
