As far as I can tell Outlook for Windows doesn't have support for IMAP IDLE, which enables faster and more efficient delivery of emails to IMAP accounts. This effectively enables "push" of email messages for IMAP accounts instead of periodic "pull" based on a synchronisation schedule. Outlook for Mac does have support for IMAP IDLE.
I know that Office 365 / Exchange is the "bread-and-butter" of Outlook, but for those of us who use IMAP accounts, often in tandem with Exchange accounts, this would be a much appreciated improvement.2 votes
Ability to set custom folder location for Sent, Drafts, Deleted, Junkmail on the IMAP server.
This feature was available in earlier (2010) versions and has been removed.34 votes

The possibility to correct the matching of IMAP folders, like in Outlook 2007 should be added.
That means it should be possible to change the settings for the folders were the Sent and Deleted items should be stored.
This is a serious problem in the German Outlook version (17 votes in microsoft comunnity): Due to wrong matching the Synchronization does not work correct. E.g. Outlook stores the sent email in a folder named "Gesendete Elemente" (sent items) and the email provider expects "sent".326 votes
