Use a Shared Calendar
Allow the use of a Shared Group Calendar that's setup in OWA versus a personal calendar for bookings.
We need Bookings to look at our personal calendar for the account, but also at a resource calendar or shared calendar. For Example, when setting up an in office meeting, we need to make sure the user has time available, but also would need to make sure that the conference room to be used is available. I thought that might work by making the location of the service the conference room in question, but that doesn't seem to work.

We have shared pto and Remote calendars that employees update to give visibility to where they are any given day. Would be nice if Bookings could consider availability based on those shared calendars... or just one would be better than nothing.

For our service, customers don't make an appointment with a specific person. The person can vary per part of the day. Therefore we'd like to use our shared inbox.
When testing we found out that Bookings doesn't synchronize the agenda with a shared inbox... That's a big problem! Please help us with this.

Due to pandemic, we now have office restrictions that limit the number of people allowed in the office. I have created s booking site so staff can book a limited number of services or slots per day, but no one can view these appointments except the admin. It would also be useful for us to view historical bookings. It would be great to be able to view this calendar as a shared calendar in outlook.
Major upvote to this idea!

This would be a very common scenario, where there are service groups internal to an organisation, who share an O365 Group calendar and whose members are individually bookable. As Christopher Crocker said below, individual availability should flow through to booking availability, then bookings should pass back to both the individual calendar and to the Group calendar.
I agree, we hire out a dance studio. I currently input all of the bookings into a group/shared calendar. It would be very useful if this calendar could sync up with the booking system.

As we're using this for a studio booking, the studio is available physically when no one has booked.
At the moment, we have a team of 2 where if both of us are available, 2 customers can both make a bookin on the same slot, which unfortunately doesn't work for us as we only have 1 studio.
We would like the booking system to allow only 1 booking with team member a, even if the other team member b is free.
We would like to use bookings not foor booking people, but for booking cars. I need multiple persons to be able to book, cancel, change the appointmens for the cars. But those are not staff members who need to be bookable

+1000 for this idea please. I manage a global presales team that is based in 5 different timezone, and we are all currently scheduling our time in Outlook for O365 using a group/shared calendar. Bookings looks to be an ideal solution but its missing the ability to work witha group cal.
For our use case:
1.) Ideally Bookings should refer to a staff member's personal calendar for availability
2.) When a service is booked, the event should appear on both the staff member's personal calendar, and also in the group calendar.
This would allow our accounting team to source a single calendar to get a summary of all the events and the time spent by each staff member.

Agreed. I have Practice Management Software that has created a new calendar in Outlook. That is where I will keep my calendar, not the standard default calendar in Outlook. So, I need my availability to be based on that different calendar.
We are a photographic studio shared by 5 in-house photographers but other photographers from outside can hire the studio, so we have a shared studio booking calendar (on Gmail at the moment) and I would like that calendar to show unavailability on my bookings calendar.

Agree! We would like to start using Bookings, but until this is an option, we are stuck using an archaic paper calendar and our clients have to call for appointments. We need a single shared calendar to use!
