Sorely needed if we are to use this for reservations.

Any news on this feature? Competitors of Bookings such as Hubspot and Calendly offer it already (they actually offered it when they launched!)

Very much wanted. Ideally I would like to have the opportunity to set a selection of choices that'll be available to the customer from a drop-down. E.g.:
"Option A" (30 min)
"Another choice" (1 hr)
"Something else" (2 hrs) -

We need this feature to allow users to book various amenities in the buildings that we manage.

I am also very interested in this feature. We're a college with over 15,000 students and we need to create lab schedules with custom time slots. I hope this feature is develop soon.

This feature seems like a basic feature that should have been included. Perhaps allow the administrator to specify whether or not an appointment is "locked" to a certain length of time vs allowing the customer to choose their own appointment length.

Trying to use bookings as a room reservation system. Desperately need customers to be able to enter whatever time frame they want.

I am very interested in allowing customers to specify the duration of the service they are booking.
Currently, I seem to have to create a new appointment type for every different duration of the same type that I want to offer. This is exceedingly tedious for me and for customers. It would instead be helpful if I could set either a default duration or a default increment, a minimum amount of time a service could be booked, and a maximum amount of time a service could be booked. This would provide significantly more flexibility for both me and customers.
I imagine that there is a greatly expanded userbase for this product in 2020 and expanding features like this will be enormously helpful.

We're interested in using bookings to allow for reserving company vehicles and we'd like people to be able to specify how long they need the vehicle for.

I would also find this feature super useful. I would like to use Bookings to provide Hot Desk Booking and this is the only component that is missing.

Adding my name as interested in this feature. I use bookings to allow my students to schedule office hours and I'd like them to be able to pick a duration according to a fixed minimum and maximum time. Restricting to certain increments would also be nice.
for example, when I setup a service, options would be:
- Minimum duration: 15 minutes
- Maximum duration: 1 hour
- Duration increments: 10 minutesThe student could then schedule any duration between 15 and 60 minutes in 10 minute increments.

I agree with comments below - we would like to use this for our related charities to book a meeting room, they really need to be able to choose the duration subject to availability.
WE were hoping to sue bookings to reduce the manual input by our administration team. At present using "bookings" would increase the load on the admin tea, -

I can agree with everything I'm reading below. It isnt a reasonable suggestion for us to duplicate services multiple times to allow customers to chose the needed duration for a booking. It looks extremely unprofessional.

This should be common with any scheduling software and its mind blowing this was overlooked in development. It would save time changing reservations on the back end when the customer could request it themselves.

this has been requested for a long time now. would love to see this changed too: would like to have one form where they can book a set time by me and one form where they can set the time themselves

This is also an issue for us. I have to go in and configure each type of situation for specific lengths for the users to have the option to select. They can’t select the time duration. This means an admin would need to create booking slots for every possible time and duration for each type of situation. They should be allowed to pick a date, the start time, and how long THEY want it based on availability.

This application is unusable for my contracting business until you add this feature - Please hurry!

Why is this still not a thing. We are using this for room and equipment reservation. But having only fixed durations is very limiting

I would upgrade to Office 365 if you had this option.
