Custom fields on the booking page
Allow the business to specify custom fields on the booking page that they would like to capture from their customers who are making a booking.

The first iteration of custom questions and required field controls are available now to all Bookings users. You can add custom fields and control which questions are required on the booking form by clicking into Service details from the Services page and then clicking Modify.
We are marking this idea as “completed” but we plan to continue to work to provide more custom question types for you to choose from. The following article explains in more detail how to add custom questions to Bookings and how to choose which fields are required for your customers:

Thank you again for your interest in Microsoft Bookings and for your feedback.

It would be EXTREMELY helpful to have the option to include the custom field responses in the confirmation email.
We are asking the customer to indicate what type of meeting they wish to have. We would like to include their response in the confirmation email as a reminder.

Any roadmap on a way to export the custom fields? We can export all the other fields in the TSV, but these ones don't show.

What is he point in a custom field that then isn't included in any reporting? PLEASE add this so we can see the data we collect from these fields.
Having it in the calendar appt body, mixed in with the rest of the text that gets auto added, is next to useless.

We have added custom fields to our services & after testing they are indeed required. The problem is if "Maximum Participants" is set to anything more than 1 the staff cannot see what was entered (we have tried from the confirmation email, bookings calendar view, outlook calendar, etc.) If it is a private appointment where Max Part. was set to 1 we are able to see the custom field data in all of these locations. What are we missing?

Is there a way to export the custom fields? I can export all the other fields, but that one doesn't show.

When a customer books, the custom fields are added to the calendar body for the booking. However, if we assign a different staff member, those fields are dropped. This data loss is causing confusion for staff and makes it challenging to provide good customer service.

agree with the comment about downloading custom fields or available through the API - absolutely mandatory for us to continue with Microsoft.

Hey there - we are still not able to download information with custom fields inside. It is truly not a big deal - give me the access to the code nad I will do it myself within a day.
Please create this functionality - I do not want to spend my time copy-pasting all the data.

They still have NOT added the feature of downloading custom fields in the .tsv file. They said they would add it in 2017. Come on!!

This should be attached to my previous request:
Actually the custom fields go to the Outlook calendar notice - not the confirmation email that the client gets.

Hello - Any update on how to extract data from the custom fields?
I see that custom fields are copied into the Bookings confirmation email sent to a client. How can I get at the information in the email to put into a spreadsheet? I still don't see custom field entries in the tsv file and I am wondering if there is a way to parse the confirmation emails to gather the custom field data?
Is the custom field data stored on Microsoft Exchange?
Please advise. All the best!

How can data custom fields data be exported? I do see it?

The TSV export does not contain any data from custom fields - is there a plan to enter this data in as part of the export. Otherwise reporting from these TSV export files is incomplete.

I'm not able to get the required field to work with an option/drop down list. Is this possible? Is there any way to set the field to null and then require a dropdown item to be selected?

The custom fields are useless as you can not report on them??? When you extract the TSV it doesn't show you what they answered in the custom fields ???? The only way to see what they answered in the custom fields is to look at each individual booking? no use at all for any reporting or BI cant connect to the data in any other way so do not use the custom fields!!!!!

It would be great if I could grab three days worth of dates and drop them directly into an email so that people can just choose from just those dates instead of having to look through my entire calendar.

Here's a link to an article which walks through how to add custom and making certain fields mandatory.
