Please include the ability to use search operators (*, #, etc) when blocking Junk Mail addresses and domain names. It will make it so much easier for this function to have efficacy.

Junk Mail Rules I've created to automatically DELETE and send junk email DIRECTLY to TRASH apparently DO NOT WORK if the spammer's spoofed email domain address is beyond a certain length (128 characters, maybe? Just guessing.)
I've created a rule to automatically delete all the continuous an annoying ALL CAPS spam coming from the domain ".shareddentco.com", yet I still see a continuous stream of garbage coming from that email address. A long string of ever-changing characters in the address before .shareddentco.com, so I'm guessing that my Rules only examine some fixed number of characters for email address domains, and then stops looking.
I'm convinced that the reason Hotmail/Outlook is so absolutely horrible at blocking spam is because Microsoft needs the extra email unique users and traffic volume to boost the numbers for marketing purposes: "Outlook has the largest number of users..." BECAUSE the vast majority of them are spammers!
"Outlook is the largest email provider..." BECAUSE 90% of the volume is spam! -

I noticed that you moved the block button under "not junk" making it even harder (more clicks) to block spammers. I'd still like to see 1] an option to make rules based on category so I can categorize individual emails from spammers posing as me (sender = me) and auto delete them via a rule, and 2] an easily accessible buttons to block senders and/or domains.....and 3] a function to scan the header for bounces thru Russia and delete them or move them to a specific folder for further review. 4] All of these functions should be accessible from the mail list via single click buttons, rather than having to open each email so that multiple emails can be selected (prior to opening) and acted upon.
DON'T HIDE THE BUTTONS THAT ALLOW BLOCKING OR PHISHING REPORTING/DELETING...as this seems to be the direction you're going. PLEASE MAKE SECURITY EASIER (e.g. less clicks), NOT HARDER (e.g. more clicks).

I have written before. There should be a way to block emails from people and places you don't want. Going to junk mail is not the same thing...

Consider how often we receive junk mails, there has to be an easier way to block an email, such as Right-click.

Where in the **** is my BLOCK button ?? I use that feature every single day to block senders' spam emails in my JUNK folder WITHOUT HAVING TO OPEN THE SPAM EMAIL. You people are MORONS who don't care that your users' account safety has been greatly compromised by removing the BLOCK button. Jesus H Christ

I have a toxic, abusive ex who keeps emailing me here at my work email. THERE IS NO WAY TO BLOCK THE EMAILS. I can send them to junk email and delete them but I'm forced to check that area of email for things from students and others, and I'm forced to see part of the messages sent, and it's extremely, extremely disturbing. Why can I not block email addresses??

I am getting too many unsolicited emails. I get three emails a day from a Pet supply company in Canada. When I block them, they show up in my junk mail. So, I still have to see and delete them. I can see no way to simply trash or not receive at all an email.
Please help!

When a sender is blocked, it would be a benefit to not automatically have their email go to the junk file. If they are blocked, keep them totally out of the folders.

When marking an email as junk, there should be the option to block the sender's domain - not just the specific address. Having to go into settings and change every address manually, to catch a very simple spammer strategy of using multiple names from the same domain, is tedious.
Also, it would be great to be able to use wildcards for spam filters. For example, lots of academic journal junk mail (trying to recruit papers and editors for dubious journals) uses multiple variations of domain name (.org, .net, .us, and j-scires, jscires, etc). For that example, I'd like to be able to flick *scires.* automatically to junk mail.
At present, way too much spam just goes to Clutter instead, while a lot of legitimate mail goes to junk.
