Contacts in List of Contacts
we would like to give a feedback about a behavior that we find complex for managing contacts in Office365.
Here the description of the issue.
We have a shared mailbox. In the Contacts of this shared mailbox we created a "group list" of contacts and added to it some "single" contacts.
When we update some field of one of the "single" contacts (contact that was also inserted into the list), then the new value is saved in the "single" contact but not inside the "group list".
So if we open or send an email to the "group list" (which the contact is part of), we still get the old value of the field (e.g. email) for that contact.
We would have expected that the contact was updated also in the list.
We opened a request to your support but they told us that this is the regular behavior because, when a list is created, it copies the contacts inside itself, but they are not actually connected: therefore any change to the contacts is not replicated in the lists.
So whenever we need to update a contact, we also need to search and update all the lists to which it belongs.
We want to ask you if you can evaluate possible changes to this behavior for future releases.
Thanks and regards
