Outlook for iOS

  1. improve the delete email function

    Add a swipe feature that allows you to delete a read or unread message from the inbox without having to open and delete.

    • Delete messages

      Should be able to swipe without opening to delete messages from an iPhone. Only works on surface tablet that way. On iPhone it tries to archive.

        There are currently two quick and easy way to delete emails from the  Outlook app.
          
        1. Swipe to delete
        Swipe the email to the left. By default, this will archive the email. However, you can customize Swipe Options in the Settings and change the action to Delete.
        1. Bulk delete
        This is very useful when you want to delete multiple emails at once. To do this, long press on an email until a checkmark appears at the left of it. Once you’ve selected multiple emails, you’ll then be able to perform the following actions: deleting, marking as read, archiving. A “Select All” option will also appear in the top right corner.

      • Auto-Save email if move away from app for any reason

        I've been working on an email, moved away for a notification from a different app only to return and my email is gone! No saved version exists and if it does, no clue where.

              It is currently already possible to turn on/off the Focused Inbox, to do so, Tap on settings then toggle on/off the Focused Inbox option.

                    • I miss the arrow bubble bottom right corner in the calendar

                      With the new update. Bottom right corner arrow indicator in the calendar app is missing. Would be great if you can bring it back.

                      • See pictures imbedded in emails

                        There are some emails I receive where I am unable to see the pictures imbedded in the email. They are included as attachments but not in the email itself. This feature used to be available, but since the last several updates, it is no longer available. Tried troubleshooting with support already to no avail

                          Of all the calendars ive tried to use on iOS outlooks is the most annoying. Just doesn't function intuitively.

                          • Get rid of the lag

                            Outlook is terribly slow to respond on my iPhone 6 since the latest update. Sometimes a full 5 seconds passes between the time I touch the screen and the action actually happens. Even typing is very delayed.

                                Currently, this feature is active for all outlook.com and Office 365 accounts, and Gmail is coming very soon.

                              • Picture attachments should have .jpg extension

                                When I send pictures from iPhone picture library through outlook it uses the .jpeg extension which is annoying to other iPhone users. Cause they expect .jpg extension. People haven't used jpeg extension for 20 years

                                  When you permanently delete message, they com right back and you have delete them again. Please fix this it's very annoying.

                                  • App can no longer access photos!!

                                    Every since this last update, I can no longer access and attach photos to my emails. It won't even let me include a screenshot of the error message to send to Customer Support!!
                                    And yes I have checked my settings and the app IS allowed to access my photos.
                                    Microsoft seems to have screwed up more with this latest update than fixed!!
                                    I HAVE to be able to access and attach photos and files!!

                                        • Allow the option of swiping left to DELETE an email without opening it

                                          I am constantly archiving emails when I swipe intending to delete them instead. Most other applications e.g.Messages use this on iPhones and iPads. The inability to do this in Outlook is driving me to another program. Thanks
